A lovely, small daycare. My son has been enrolled for about 12 weeks now and he's really getting into the swing of it. Liz, the centre manager is great, knows who my son is and how he's been doing and there are daily updates from the staff. They have also been great working with him as he has a speech delay and have been very open to having support structures in place for him. Best of all we haven't had any major illness outbreaks despite this being our first stint at day care (my son is 2).

I cannot recommend Kindy Patch Queanbeyan highly enough. They have created such a warm, fun and inviting environment for my kids. The staff are top notch and always go the extra mile to create interesting activities that entertain as well as educate. After seeing the menu for each week, the kids are eating better than I am!

Liz has breathed new life into the centre and we couldn't be more grateful for the next level care and attentiveness.

I recently visited KindyPatch Queanbeyan. The centre has a beautiful calm feeling as soon as you walk in the door. Soft music playing, lovely scented candles and beautifully thoughtful displays through the hallway and rooms. The children were happily engaged with their environments and there was no chaos. A lot of thought and effort has gone into the presentation of the centre.

Excellent centre. The manager and staff go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and make everyone feel welcome. The chef makes nutritious food (that my son actually eats!). So glad I sent my son here.

Please do not send your child here! Not only is the place an absolute mess, the children are consistently neglected by non caring staff. We had to pull my son out with no confirmed spot elsewhere who was being bitten by the same child sometimes 3 times a day. Not the child’s fault as the staff were aware of this issue and the children’s friendship difficulties, yet wouldn’t keep a close eye on the children to protect them both. If you know two children have trouble getting along wouldn’t you be keeping a closer eye on them, apparently not at kindy patch! My son would also come home soaked in his own filth when learning to toilet train after being encouraged by staff that he could start not wearing a nappy to school. Some staff hygiene was way below standard too, how can I trust that you will take care of my child if I can visibly see and smell that you can’t take care of your own hygiene. A select few of the staff were amazing but they too faced challenges with how they were being unfairly treated by management. I raised all my concerns with management and none of my concerns were met. The whole centre needs a facelift too, the playground has been blocked off from being used by the children for years due to not meeting standard. When do g8 plan on fixing these issues?
I am now at a beautiful centre that I could not rave more about to which some of these earlier reviews are written about as the staff used to work/run kindy patch and unfortunately I believe parents are lead here thinking that those reviews are still current. I hope the new management does a better job at caring for the children enrolled at kindy patch but so far with the lack of communication by the current centre director I highly doubt that will be the case.

We have been at kindy patch since the start of January. We were going to leave the centre but a new director started. Since she has started we have seen nothing but improvements. Our girls are happy to go into the centre every morning (they weren’t before) our questions are immediately answered and nothing is ever a trouble for the director.
The overall vibe of the centre is much more positive and welcoming as it should be.

It saddens me to change my review of Kindy Patch Queanbeyan but this centre has declined in every aspect in the last 1-2 years to the point we have removed our son with no other centre confirmed.

Reasons include:
Very high staff turnover, the last remaining staff we felt confident with left more recently.
No preschool room/educator or program from what we can see
Inconsistent communication from
centre manager and careers.
Inconsistent response to emails or concerns.

We no longer feel this is a positive learning or caring environment.

My daughter has thrived since being a part of the Kindy Patch family; she feels loved, safe and comfortable to be herself when she attends the daycare centre 3-days per week. The staff are supportive, caring and happy which in turn makes for a happy, safe and loving environment for my child. My daughter is in the Preschool room, and the learning provided complements the Preschool Centre she attends 2-days per week. The facilities are clean, neat and tidy; the chef is great with the kids, and my daughter enjoys the variety of meals that are provided. Kindy Patch is a fantastic daycare centre and I am grateful to have found such a caring and safe environment for my daughter.
