My husband and I thank the ED team.
From the lady at front desk, Triage nurse, and Ange, my nurse, with her student nurse and Dr David .
I am so grateful to them for the care and support they gave us yesterday.
It was a rough afternoon evening on my part, but they kept me informed and observed my progress throughout.
They were very busy with others but never made me feel that they were rushed.
Such a kind professional team.

worst hospital ever going, will stick every sort of needle in you even if you have the worst anxiety bc of past trauma at the same hospital with needles then put a cannula in and make you sit in the waiting room for 3 hours. do not recommend, no beds as they are useless and you will be sitting here all day. and as for calling an ambulance that will coast 1200 jusr for you to get pushed aside.

I usually struggle being in GP or hospital, I can get very anxious to the point of fainting . But at Kempsey hospital from the reception desk to the checkout was a wonderful experience only because of Nurses, doctors, cleaners, physios the whole team make me feel welcome and protected,

The maternity unit, doctors and midwives here are nothing short of amazing. We had a great experience delivering our first child here in 2023 and feel lucky to have such great services in the shire without the need to travel to Coffs or Port.
Highly personalised and professional care with exceptional follow up and standards of PP care. Would recommend!

Attended here in am on Thursday 21 Sep with severe abdominal pain and receptionist was friendly, helpfu, patientl and efficient. Triage nurse was the same and gave me 2 panadol for pain. It was very busy and the ED worked efficiently.
Got to see Dr Pragati Babaria, who was wonderful! She was so kind, gentle, communicated well, thorough, sought blood tests/CT scan etc to get a diagnosis. Needed to be booked in, so after a few details were ironed out, the process commenced for me to be booked in & transferred to Port Macquarie hospita (when a bed became available). Port Mac have a surgical team and Kempsey doesn't, which is sad for those that need this service locally. Later, after further consultation between the 2 teams, it was decided I could go home with strong antibiotics.
Very grateful for the whole team in the ED who took care of me....thank you so, so much.
Great experience for my husband and I, under the painful circumstances.

I went to the hospital with extreme pain in my leg. The doctor was really good she and thorough. She figured out I have a clot in my leg but as it was night time I couldn't get a proper ultra sound. I was told come back at 8 in the morning as it's really urgent. As I left another nurse said oh don't come at 8 call at 8:30 n ask what time they would be ready for U so I did and now they want me to wait to five days for an ultrasound on something that's quite life threatening. The doctors are lovely there imaging team is something else
