Located at 597 High Street, Penrith, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. It’s always a great outing when you come here. The concerts are great entertainment and it’s so nice to have the cakes, coffee and tea offered before the performances. It’s a really lovely touch and the ladies serving are wonderful. This is a very good value for money outing Gand I would definitely recommend. Thumbs up!! 👍👍👍

This fabulous venue is where I have experienced wonderful music from a terrific orchestra lead by an accomplished conductor/artistic director, Dr. Paul Terracini. The Penrith Symphony Orchestra are made up of local, talented musicians who give their hearts to their performances. “The Joan”, is easily accessible by all definitions of the word with comfortable amenities and an ambient bar area for before, at interval and after a show or performance. Friendly service from great staff and plenty of parking nearby as well as restaurants and Westfield shops. An amazing array of concerts and shows throughout the year including some performed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. It feels good to support local!!

Is there a negative review possible? I attempted to book tickets for the Kids Mid-Year Dance Festival at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre as soon as bookings opened at 9:00 A.M. However, even after 40 minutes, I was unable to secure any tickets due to the system being slow and overwhelmed by what should be a manageable spike in demand. This is beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. It’s clear that the current system is utterly incapable of handling even a minor increase in traffic. It’s imperative to have a competent team that can manage such high demand and take immediate responsibility for fixing this recurring issue. If this isn’t possible, please inform the organisers that they should hire a venue capable of seamlessly managing this process without wasting nearly an hour of our time.

Confortable ambiance.

Only negative was not being given a glass for my canned beverage and then being expected to pour my own drink when I was given a glass.
