My experience with ITEC’s Barista course as a refresher to my pre-existing Barista knowledge and experience was disappointing, to say the least. I’ll start with the positives before the negatives. The employees were absolutely lovely; the receptionist and trainer went above and beyond with their duties - they educated well, had great tips. It would be a great course for the basics in learning to make coffee. However, the primary reason I went to the course was because the website offered Cafe Art/Latte art as one of the primary activities in the course. Yet, I come to find out an hour into the course that they aren’t doing latte art; and that’s just a fault of the company’s website. Extremely disappointed, as frankly it’s false advertising.

As a side note, to all interested in taking the course, it’s worth going in having researched a bit, because going in completely unaware can have some niche aspects regarding technique and different styles of milk frothing shown or explained only briefly, as it’s one dated machine (compared to the ones I have used over 3 years) between all the course members for the entirety of the course.
