I met Natalie when I was looking for some local knowledge on birthing. All the women I had asked at the time mentioned to contact her. After I spoke with her a few times I learnt she also offered Hypnobirthing courses. I had already done one for my first birth which ended up with major trauma for me.

I decided to do a shorter refresh course with her. I was amazed at her effort, passion and knowledge surrounding birth, breastfeeding and parenting. It was one of my best decisions in preparation for our second birth. I learnt all about my options for all births wether it be hospital, midwife centre or homebirth. I learnt about empowering myself and being in charge of my birth. I learnt that I knew my body best, I couldn't believe I had to learn that.
With the knowledge from her course, I was able to prepare a beautiful home water birth, my ideal scenario and go through the whole experience intervention free just as I has dreamed.

This course was AMAZING. If only I had discovered Natalies Hypnobirthing and extras TRUE birth education with my first birth.

Sadly the maternity system is very broken, results in 1 in 3 women experiencing birth trauma and in turn 1 in 10 experiencing PTSD and yet so much of it so avoidable, I learnt the hard way. If anyone has watched Birth Time you will see the Australian maternity system is at crisis point, this was before covid hit

My first pregnancy, I did the hospital antenatal class (if you can call it that), I’m not surprised I ended up with a heavily medical birth.

For my second I stumbled upon Natalies course. It CHANGED MY LIFE. I learnt about my body, how your body prepares for birth, I learnt about informed consent, a very important Acronym for Informed Decision-Making B.R.A.I.N. My partner learnt how to truly support me during birth, I learnt effective coping strategies during pregnancy, birth and beyond… also I was introduced to breastfeeding support/ education, prenatal yoga classes and so much more, mama support circles. My mind was blown in comparison to the sterile and useless information from the hospital… and all non for profit, true birth education. The biggest benefit I got from this course was embracing birth because I knew how every part of my body worked to birth, vs fear from lack of birth education which opens the door to unnecessary interventions and in turn interrupting the body from effectively birthing.

So for second birth, I experienced the most magical, natural physiological birth, with no fear. It was the most amazing experience for both myself and my partner. It was the birth that when I held my baby in my arms the moment she was born, I knew I wanted to do this again.

Natalie doesn’t just offer “classes” she offers life changing truly empowering information. This course should be the go to for all new pregnant mums and seasoned mums alike. It would change the world and seriously reduce if not basically wipe out birth trauma and teach every women what a physiological birth actually looks like. I will forever be grateful for the amazing hypno birthing course I had the privilege of attending. Thank you for empowering me.
