This school is terrible they claim to care about the wellbeing of children but don’t listen when there is issues. And the school revolves around immigrants more than others as an Australian you feel left out and not heard in your own damn country and I had no choice but to attend this school for legal and local reasons they wouldn’t let me apply out of area. The education and teachers are terrible they spend their money on stupid things like new tables worth $70,000 that no one uses instead of using the money wisely. They have no fun activities and if there is it’s all about other cultures and not just simple activities doesn’t even feel like I’m in Australia.

My Daughter started in year 10 at Holroyd High School.Her time there so far has been fantastic with the staff very caring and motivating academically. I have been involved in other public schools with my other children and this is the best.

Don't send your children here. The Principle and Deputy Principles are more worried about a pay check then educating the children.

The Department of Education should review this school not just overlook it.

Instead of helping the minority they should be focusing on the community. Which they don't. This is not a school it's a joke.

School did not prepare me well for life it's a bit weird & suspicious. In my younger days i desperately wanted performing opportunities. The kids with no talent for speaking hogged a lot of assembly time in my primary [school] years. I didn't actually get a go at any talking until 4 or 5 years into it. Right from J Block I was confident i could make less errors and speak and perform better than the standard that was on display.

I missed out on even the turns everyone is meant to get in front of the class.

So come high school there were more opportunities to perform but I wanted that before puberty.

Puberty did horrible things to my body that were unwelcome. And it's hard to put forward a convincing performance when all the women before you have made that shape one that lacks credibility and is looked upon as a sex object. Thanks ladies.

I did my bit for the cause and lifting the image of women.

However i wasn't really supported appropriately during my high schooling years to really make a difference.

The chosen ones are where we have our downfall. Need to pick the best performers not try to satisfy criteria of diversity.

Actually i probably would meet that criteria anyway since i never wanted to be a woman. It's just a massive human resourcing error / f*$# up to not make the best use of me at the expense of lazy people. Lazy people who don't practice should not take up opportunities best suited for hard working individuals.

So um, yeah for Primary School since i didn't get a fair go i would practice anything.. running.. netball shooting.. anything to be perfect.. when i realised i could become good at cricket i worked really hard at perfecting bowling.. both men and women often look completely ridiculous bowling.

So that was like a second wind when i thought life was over at puberty. I just wore a crop top that flattened my chest.

Unfortunately during my high school years i had multiple health issues that my parents did not get treated.. i injured my back and was devastated and did not get immediate or ongoing or rehabilitative medical care.

So come HSC time i got an opportunity to star but this is where the suspicious goings on happened. My actual learning in music was not at a high level but my musical ear is pretty good. So I told this teacher yeah i could probably learn that piece if i heard it.. as reading music alone i could make more errors.

On reflection today i suspect they deliberately hired the woman with terrible breath and she played an annoying clack sound for the whole recording. I don't know if all pianists use that to keep time.. but i'd never had to have it going. I couldn't bare listening to the recording. And didn't want to ask for her to go to the trouble of making a new copy.

So that makes me appear to be a slacker who doesn't practice. And that's the ultimate insult for someone who had to watch so many poor performances. There is no equivalent excuse for other people. It was unpleasant circumstances that drove me to try and be the best not fantastic support. Refugees and others are welcome to having my Mum pick on every little utterance you make and invalidate you if you think that is how i got to be a confident talker. Other Mums get jobs.

What would motivate a school to try and make me look bad? It could be to do with pressure to use tampons such as compulsory swimming carnivals? Some have greater barriers to participation than others in this regard and it's meant to happen of your own volition not external pressure. I didn't know women or institutions or communities could facilitate rape in that manner. Or something similar to that perhaps?

I did my best and ended up mentally ill and suicidal. I don't think school was that great or valuable although education in itself is not a bad idea.

Pluses for this place: sign post maths books were pretty good. Kids not too much into being glamorous or having the latest expensive stuff = less pressure there. No evil girl bullies i could think of.
