I’ve always valued the arts as a staple for a child’s development, as it fosters creativity, emotional expression, confidence, resilience, and overall well-being. Hive has exceeded my expectations in nurturing these qualities—and more—within my daughters. They are treated with genuine care and affection by the staff, who are highly qualified and enthusiastic. Hive has created an inclusive, welcoming, and safe community for children to express themselves. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, and throughout my daughter’s music class, the teachers explain to us adults how each activity is aiding the child’s development. Meanwhile, the kids are just having a blast.
Hive seems very well-managed. All communication thus far has been clear and concise, with no “pages of terms and conditions.” Enrolment is ongoing until you cancel, which is particularly helpful for me, as I’ve experienced situations with other extracurricular activities where I was late to re-enrol my daughter and missed out because the class had filled up. There are regular email updates and multiple reminders before any fees are withdrawn, so there’s plenty of time to reconsider re-enrolment or change classes.
The online system is very user-friendly. It’s simple to enrol, switch classes, and notify of absences—all from my phone. The interface is straightforward, which is a huge positive for me as a busy parent. However, even when I’ve asked Lauren at the admin desk for help while waiting for my daughter, she’s always been incredibly accommodating with my requests, even though I could have easily done it myself.
The missed class policy is the most lenient I’ve come across as a parent. They require minimal notice for an absence, which is great when my daughter wakes up sick, especially since we have an early morning class. They also allow you to attend any other class of the same age group. This has been very helpful, as my 3-year-old is enrolled in music class but has also been able to experience the playroom. This has enabled her to meet new friends and teachers, rather than just missing out when she’s sick—as happens in some other places.
It’s such a valuable extracurricular activity for my girls, and I only wish I had enrolled them at a younger age.
Lastly, I’ll mention the holiday workshops because they are just so much fun for my 6-year-old. She has trouble deciding which one she’ll attend because they are all so well-designed, with popular trends in mind. It’s no wonder classes fill up so fast here.

I have been attending Hive since my first child was 9 months old and he is now 4.5 years old and now my second child also attends the Play Room classes. We love the Hive. It’s a testament to the staff when my child is happy to be dropped off and comes home beaming. He has learnt so much and become so confident. The toddler and baby classes have been amazing not only for my children but for myself to socialise with other parents. All the teachers are so friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed in Hive. After being told by a staff member that I could notify of class absences and be able to attend in the following term without being reenrolled (due to commitments I was only ever going to be able to attend around 1/2 of the classes per term), I have been told this week too bad that staff told me that, I should have read the fine print. I think it’s quite unfair for a business to only offer makeup tokens to parents who have the availability to take their child twice per week, as this is what you would need to do as you must be constantly enrolled to be able to use your makeup tokens. I am disappointed in the policy itself, the way staff handled my questions as well as the initial incorrect information. I should have read the pages of terms and conditions but I assume other trusting parents like myself might also think that asking a direct question would negate the need to read through however many pages of fine print. It seems wrong that Hive emphasise their ‘no expiry makeup tokens’ as a selling point, but then leave information as critical as ‘however you must have the availability to attend 2x classes per week to actually be able to use the token as you must be constantly enrolled’ in the middle of their terms and conditions somewhere.

Highly recommend Hive! I’ve been taking my baby to the Creative Play classes for almost a year now and we both love it! Such a great way to meet people and the classes are so fun and engaging! The resources each week are incredible. Kirsty is a fantastic instructor.

Highly recommend Hive Creative Studios, my daughter has been going for 3 years now and she loves it. I've also started taking my 6 month old boy and he loves it too. The teachers are wonderful & the activities are always engaging. It never gets boring. The studio and facilities are excellent and just keep getting better. We have made lots of lasting friendships here.

I cannot speak highly enough of Hive. My daughter, 5yo, attended the Creative Thinkers group and I was so impressed with the program. The educators are so creative, professional, thoughtful and evidence based in their approach. I honestly thought they must have a team of OTs, Physios and psychologists working with them too, with the level of understanding and thought going into their programs. Cannot recommend highly enough.

My kids have been attending Hive for close to 6 years now. All the teachers have been excellent educators and are brilliant with kids. I'd highly recommend Hive Kids to anyone with young children for a wonderful start to your child's musical life.
