Hinchinbrook PS was mostly a great school to attend. A beautiful place with many many teachers that instill value and care for you. One of them was Mr Nelson. He was kind and understanding and genuinely helped me.

However. I remember Mr Kovac, he was a year 4/5 teacher of mine.

A distinct memory was him telling me I would never amount to anything, that I would just become a thug. It was definitely racially motivated. It's insane to think a grown 40+ year old man had so many issues with a young 10 year old. I remember being screamed at for not doing a silly project, even after bringing in a letter clearly highlighting the issues I was facing at home. And this was the norm. And It wasn't just the norm for myself.
I have spoken to alumni that have documented their childhood experiences with him as well, racial bias is forefront in all of their experiences.

It's been many years later, and I just wanted to state this simply.

I have reached success. I am top in my field. I am a chemical engineer, and I have amounted more value to society than Kovac ever could.

I really hope an investigation occurs into the treatment of pupils in Kovac's 'care'.

Very good school!
The staff ladies are very nice (for example) : If your clothes gets wet they would give u spare clothes to wear to be comfortable!
Teachers r so nice they would give u all the attention and makes sure u understand the work u been given! When we have test's the teachers would of always do examples in the board for 5 minutes. I recommend your child to attend to this awesome school! If your in year 6 u would have an amazing Formal, Year 6 was soo fun to me! Students sometimes bully but teachers makes sure they will not tolerate to do that again!
