Well, I would like to give a few more stars, but it's not possible. Dave and Joel are both very knowledgeable about the best ways to teach paragliding. They are well-trained and well-read in the field, and Dave has won many competitions. I especially enjoyed having a flight accompanied by them because it made it easier to understand how the wing works, which is great when you want to learn to fly. The accommodation was 10/10, and the locations were the same. They were always different places where I got to know Laurieton very well. Nikki and the other classmates were also fantastic. A phenomenal experience! I hope to have the opportunity to come back for another BBQ.

Awesome experience, I completed the PPG course with Dave. Both Dave and Nikki made transport to the accommodation, getting familiar with the surroundings as well as the learning experience fantastic!
The course was flexible and took every opportunity to work with the weather, the skill sets of the group and above all keeping everyone safe. Dave was the calm voice in your ear when you were off the ground and knew exactly what to say to keep you up longer and enjoy your time in the air!
100% recommend!

Very much enjoyed paraglider training course delivered by Dave and Joel with the two crew's we trained with over August and October this year. Weather was against us in August and October (4d out of 9 for the course non-flyable for trainees in both months - not the norm.)
Despite this we made the most of the time we did have, highlights for me being soaring from Harry's Lookout, Bonnie Hills, high tow on Grant's Beach and capping it all off, soaring from North Brother mountain.
Training was delivered in a professional but very relaxed format resulting in learning and skills development in a fun atmosphere, (even when climbing back up to the launch site from the beach landing site via "Jacobs Ladder" at Harry's Lookout and the cliff face climb at Indian Head).
Beautiful scenery at flying sites and multitude of whales jumping out to sea together with sea eagles soaring with us while flying capped it all off.

What a life changing experience, Dave was patient, understanding and professional at all times. One of the best things you will ever do in your life. The emotional roller coaster that you go through learning a new skill as an adult is tricky at the best of times, but we never felt rushed or like we were taking too long. Being weather dependent makes it hard to fly everyday and get the practice in but being made to feel welcome to come back and still continue the journey makes it more personal and rewarding, to then achieve the goal of flying on your own is something that you will never forget and never stop doing once you master it. Dave at High Adventure Paragliding certainly makes the experience a rewarding, pleasurable and memorable experience for any ages. Our 15 year old son did it with us and loved every minute of it. Trust the Thrust and rely on Dave ✌?

Dave was very calm and patient with all of us whilst we were learning how to fly. The expertise and knowledge was 2nd to none and we felt confident and safe at all times knowing that we were in great hands. Highly recommend this course to anyone that wishes to learn how to fly or hone and improve their current skills.
Six out of five stars.
Thanks Dave and Nikki for your hospitality!

I just finished a couple weeks ppg training with High Adventure and had a great time. I thought I’d leave a review in case you’re thinking maybe.
The syllabus is flexible, incremental, and progressive. Everyday had fun stuff to learn, new places to see and skills to develop; it feels more like a training holiday. Dave was our instructor, he’s laid back and easy to learn from. I went from zero to understanding weather conditions, some navigation, soaring ridges, and greasing spot landings, even some engine (preventative) maintenance too.
The High Adventure accommodation is inexpensive and comfortable, local food is within a short walk and more importantly, the launch sites are plenty and close by! Inland farms, beaches, coastal ridges to master and mountains to soar; you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Before the course I made a spread sheet to compare paramotoring gear (the Mrs insisted I buy new) and found prices tightly controlled by the manufacturers (like those lousy iPhones), the difference was negligible. Beyond that, Dave helped a couple students purchase and service their gear bought on the second-hand market where he stood little to gain. This speaks volumes to me should something not go according to plan, knowing the after sales care is there.
I made some good friends on the course and am sure you will too.
Hit me up if you have any questions, 11/10 would recommend,
Tess

What a fantastic experience all 'round!
I live in Sydney, and completed Dave's 14day Paramotor Course in August. His clear, direct, patient, and expert style of teaching was taylored to each individuals needs from commencement through to endgame...and Laurieton has to be arguably the best paragliding/paramotoring location in NSW....simply stunning!!
It must be added that Dave and Nikki offer very comfortable single/shared accommodation onsite, and Dave's right-hand-man Joel is not just a great instructor himself, but a champion bloke as well.
I left Highadventure in Laurieton with a tear in my eye and with a huge sense of accomplishment. I have since purchased all my paragliding and paramotoring gear through Dave because I view him as an expert one-stop-shop across all facets of the sport.
I can't talk these guys up enough!!! The only extra to add, is stop procrastinating...JUST DO IT!!!!!

High adventure was a great course. Flying was crazy fun and very safe with the instructor, Dave. The equipment was high quality and I felt looked after all the time. Dave was a patient and understanding instructor, who was always on the look out for us. He was very safe and at no point, did I feel so scared or uncomfortable in the air that I wanted to come down. Good flying spots around school so you have many options to get in the air. Overall great experience and would highly recommend.
