Had a Level 1 training course a few weeks ago - a very inviting and relaxed environment with a great instructor. Was also a nice experience to get to know fellow people participating in the course. The instructions were very easy to follow for beginners such as me, and we even got to taste our creations at the end of each section. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in working as a barista (such as myself) or even just as experience to make awesome coffees + cafe drinks :))

HG Coffee School offers a very hands on approach to learning the basics of being a barista. Our instructor, Mae, was thorough and kind. She was also very patient and she affirms us a lot which I think helped the students be confident and comfortable in learning the basics. I felt very well taken care of and I wish to enroll for Level II class immediately. This was a very fun and informatiive experience .

Couldn’t recommend HG coffee school enough. I did the level 1 and 2 plus latte art. I had Anthony (Business Manager) for all courses. He is very passionate and charismatic. He’s fantastic at getting everyone involved and learning as much as possible. HG is a must for any aspiring baristas.

I went to HG School of Coffee, and it was awesome. The teachers were smart and loved coffee, making the classes fun. We got a lot of hands-on experience with the machines, and it helped me feel more confident in my abilities. I got a job only one week after completing the course so it really paid off. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about coffee or work in a coffee shop. Shoutout to Mel.

A small group of us attended the Introduction to Coffee course on behalf of the business we work for and we had a great time! I’m a long time lover of coffee but had no barista experience and this truly was an introduction class with no prior knowledge needed. In just 3 hours I was feeling so much more confident in both espresso and milk pouring skills and I’m excited to put it into practice in real life. Our trainer, Mel, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and encouraging. The place is also really beautiful inside I want to go back and try more of their classes just for my own enjoyment! I can’t take credit for the fancy latte art in the first photo (that was Mel’s work) but I’m still proud of my attempts at hearts!

There were many options for a barista course to attend in Adelaide, but I have to say that I'm extremely thankful I went with these guys. A perfect mix of professional and candid, with a strong depth of knowledge behind them. A++, highly recommend! ☕

very interesting introductory session, showing all the various types of black and white coffees, how to perfect the grind and pour time. how to get the milk perfect and silky. what machines need for durability and excellent coffee quality. and how Adelaide serves the best coffees. we intended on this course initially just to make good coffees at home but now we are looking into their advanced courses and brewing courses too. excellent time and money well spent.
