I was grateful to have Kylie in my team as my Doula for my second child’s birth. Kylie offered me a great continuity care option when I was unable to access this level of care from the hospital. Kylie came onto the team quite late in my pregnancy, but we met several times to talk through birth preferences and lots of birthing techniques to support me be more active and present during my second childbirth. It was a relief to be able to check in with Kylie as birth symptoms began, and then stopped, and then started again. It was a bit of a roller coaster and Kylie’s calm, kind and friendly presence throughout was comforting. In the end, I progressed very quickly from a long, slow first stage to transition/second stage, and my baby was born immediately on arrival at the hospital. It was great to debrief the birth with Kylie and to realise even though the birth looked a little different than I’d expected, that I’d still had the full experience I had wanted of actively birthing my baby and feeling all those wonderful, primal sensations and hormones. Kylie offers some great home care assistance after the baby is born, allowing for full continuity of care as Mums settle into a new routine with a newborn. Highly recommend.

I attended a baby massage class with Kylie. I attended as a way to bond with my baby, but left feeling like my nervous system was relaxed too following Kylie’s great tutorial. I can’t wait to add it to our nighttime routine. Kylie provided lots of useful techniques and her kind and nurturing energy made the class an enjoyable experience that I recommend to all parents.
