I went to the emergency room due to severe lower abdominal pain in my 17th week of pregnancy. I waited for 5 hours for almost nothing. The nurses saw me quickly, but it was over just as fast. They wanted a urine sample, which I placed at the designated spot, but it wasn’t even picked up within 5 hours.

After waiting for 5 hours, I was finally called in, only to have my belly briefly palpated once or twice and that was it. I still don’t know if my baby is okay, and I was sent home. Oh, and no one managed to remove the cannula from my arm either. Instead, a few nurses were sitting around on their phones.

After waiting another 40 minutes just to have the cannula removed, I left the hospital and did it myself.

Very, very poor service.

The worst hospital ever! When Dad was in ICU the nurses were yelling out to ea other from 1 end of the counter, slamming doors, u name it. When my Uncle went in for something he told staff he wasn't feeling well, they brushed it off (standard for this place). 1wk later some genius decided to do a RAT. He had covid w/ his original complaint, then they treated him like a leper. The AC was that cold he froze all night, asked for a blanket, got nothing. When I tried to book an appt for something for 20min I spoke to someone who had no idea and kept bouncing back and forth. I've never spoken to anyone more incompetent in my life, and the way she was speaking, was atrocious. I've spoken to many people about this place and when they ask what hospital and I tell them Hawkesbury, they say, "no wonder". My old workplace sent an unwell colleague to hospital and these were his words, "for Christ sakes, don't go to Hawkesbury".

Natalie in emergency on the 28/2/25 treated me with compassion and her care was above and beyond. I was in the worst pain of my life and she made damn well sure I was sorted and cared for to the best of her ability we need more nurses like her.

I’m absolutely terrified of hospitals, but have been treated with empathy and compassion. Dr Ryan Sit kept me informed of all the procedures that I would be going through. He was very patient and explained everything so that I could understand what was going on. Very impressive for an intern doctor and I know he will go far, with his friendly and humourous bedside manner.
Then came Nurse Tegan, who was the most amazing, caring and kind, but also had a wonderful sense of humour. I’m so grateful for the care that she provided and the time she took to calm my anxiety (did I mention that I despise hospital) she’s an absolute sweetheart and legend. Couldn’t ask for better staff. 10/10 🙌🏽

I was admitted to hospital today and under the car of Dr Tom, I cannot commend him enough, the care I received from Dr Tom and the nurses was pleasant and attentive.
He took the time out to discuss why I was there and gave me reassurance which is rare today.

A great hospital! I fell off my motorbike and was taken care of with such caring nurses and doctors. Erin, Dylan and Elijah were all very professional and their passion for their job and how they care for patients was impressive. I am so thankful for their service and I am infinitely grateful to them. Thank you so much

All the staff from the cleaners to the surgeons, with the exception of one, but she's not relevant to this review, on the Barry Collins Ward after a knee replacement recently were professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

The food was edible and the lengths they went to to supply a diet that didn't trigger my allergy was well received.

To have everyone over 5 days exceed expectations is unusual these days and they have my thanks.
