Bush Meets Beach on this fairly uninterrupted part of the world. There's a few titbits of Newcastle history nestled in here too.
You can walk along the cliff base- until the tide picks up we got chased back to the safer sandy stretches. The sun dial was pretty cool, and the standout stripe of the black coal seam streaking through the rugged cliff face

This place is the bomb. Fire place. Camping and kookaburra that will land on your plate and help himself to your dinner. 🤯. The caretaker is really lovely. So close to the city yet so quiet and peaceful, except for that damm kookaburra. He pinched my breakfast too, lol.

You can walk through the scout camp down to the lagoon and beach. I was hesitant at first but nobody was bothered that I walked through 👍🏻😊

A stunning scout camp, where the bush meets the sea. Countless acres of grassland, that can accommodate many campsites. Direct access to Glenrock Lagoon and Beach for water activites. Also very close to Newcastle City Centre. Telstra works pretty well here, but Optus and Vodafone are quite patchy (with cell service only being available at the top of the large hills that surround the campsite).

Beautiful location. The amenities and dorms look and feel uncleaned. With a bit more attention things could be much better and I would happilly give 5 stars

Great place to stay with groups. Cabin nice and clean. Big kitchen and fellowship area as well. Walking distance to the beach. Very much recommended to anyone.

Great scout camp, close to the beach (no life guard at the beach) and a shallow lagoon for swimming. Lots of wildlife around including Possums and Goannas.

Flat to gentle slopes for setting up tents or playing games.

Due to proximity to lagoon aerogard is a must have to deal with mosquitos.

Walking tracks nearby enabling visitors to explore the area.

As this is a scout camp only authorised persons are permitted.
