Negative Review of Fresh Hope Communities

I am writing to share my extremely disappointing experience with Fresh Hope Communities. My father, who suffers from dementia and displays challenging behavior, was recently kicked out of their service, and I feel compelled to inform others about the incompetence and lack of compassion we encountered.

From the beginning, Fresh Hope Communities promised comprehensive and compassionate care for dementia patients, particularly those with challenging behaviors. However, our experience was far from what was promised.

1.Lack of Adequate Training for Staff: It became evident very quickly that the staff at Fresh Hope Communities lacked the necessary training and expertise to handle patients with dementia, especially those who exhibit challenging behaviors. Instead of implementing effective strategies to manage his condition, the staff seemed overwhelmed and ill-prepared.

2.Inadequate Care and Attention: There were numerous instances where my father was left unattended for long periods, leading to avoidable accidents and distress. The caregivers often appeared indifferent and lacked the patience required to care for someone with his condition.

3.Poor Communication: Communication with the management and staff was incredibly frustrating. They failed to keep us informed about my father’s progress and any incidents that occurred. When we tried to address our concerns, our complaints were met with dismissive and defensive responses.

4. Unprofessional and Insensitive Handling: The final straw came when my father was abruptly kicked out of the facility. Instead of working with us to find a solution or provide additional support, they chose to evict him without adequate notice or a proper plan for his transition. This action not only caused immense stress to my father but also left us scrambling to find alternative care on short notice.

5.False Promises: Fresh Hope Communities markets itself as a place of hope and care for dementia patients, but our experience was the opposite. They failed to deliver on their promises and demonstrated a significant lack of understanding and empathy for the needs of dementia patients and their families.

I would not recommend Fresh Hope Communities to anyone seeking care for a loved one with dementia. The incompetence and lack of compassion we experienced were not only disheartening but also deeply concerning. It is crucial for facilities that care for vulnerable individuals to have properly trained staff and a genuine commitment to providing the best possible care, and unfortunately, Fresh Hope Communities falls short in every aspect.
