What a place to train! I enjoyed every training session while attending Freestyle MMA, Joe Lopez has a lot of patience, experience and is just an all round great bloke. I never felt like it was over crowded and everyone working and training there including Alex Volkanovski are welcoming and happy to get know people. Definitely a fun environment but also take training seriously to help achieve people's goals.
Can't wait to eventually get back to training there

Had the opportunity to train here while passing through Windang for roughly 2 days. The gym is a great space, the community is inviting and friendly. All the fighters work incredibly hard and having the opportunity to hear the techniques and concepts that are constantly trained and discussed here, even briefly, was very rewarding!

One of the best fighting gyms there is thanks to the head coach Joe Lopez and Colby thickness for helping me and Joe for making me and my brother pushing ourselves to get our black belts in the kids mma and we would be were we are now if it wasn't for you And to Alexander the great Volkanoski for sparring me. Thanks Mitch my bjj instructor for helping me in my Skills in BJJ.

Head Coach Joe Lopez has successfully coached Alex Volkanovski to the #1 P4P fighter in the world. Whether you are an experienced fighter or completely new to Martial Arts, Joe is willing to share all the knowledge it takes to become great in your Martial Arts journey.

It’s a shame I hadn’t discovered this place earlier. I’m relatively new to this gym and having only done a few sessions/classes, I’m taken back by the level of support and inclusion instilled in the gym. Being the new kid on the block can always be somewhat daunting and uncomfortable but having a gym full of support, positive vibes and a no ego attitude softens the blow! Much appreciation to Joe and the team for welcoming me. Look forward to the many more sessions and discipline in refining me into a more confident and better person. P.S. Alex Volkanovski is an absolute gentleman!

Freestyle Fighting Gym is by far the most professional, organised and welcoming gym I've been to. The knowledge given by head coach Joe Lopez, Alex Volkanovski and Colby Thickness is of the highest level and I've not only learnt a lot but I've enjoyed every second in this gym as the environment and atmosphere is amazing.

Freestyle is such an amazing place to learn MMA at any level! The coaches and staff really make you feel comfortable, and even though there are a good number of professional fighters in the gym at any given moment you never feel intimidated. There's a great variety of classes at different times so something for everybody. You can also choose to sign up for private 1x1 lessons if you don't feel comfortable joining a class. Tara is absolutely amazing! She also runs the girls only jiu jitsu class on Monday nights which is an amazing opportunity for those who want to get into jiu jitsu. The group of girls that go is amazing and super supportive. I couldn't be happier I found this gym. An amazing community and everyone is so supportive of each other. Highly recommend! I'd give a million stars if I could!
