Having been to a few flight schools for various licences and ratings, FlyOz has by far been the best experience on my Aviation Journey. All the staff are amongst some of the nicest, helpful and genuine people you'll meet in Aviation who show the utmost respect and care for you and your training needs. They set a high standard for quality over quantity and produce highly competent and confident pilots in the industry through their ability to help you realise your potential in a positive training environment. Excellent half hour canola flower field arial survey. Went first week of Oct and majority of the flowers faded already. I strongly recommend doing this first thing to locate the yellow patches. Pilot will take you directly over them for the best view. You can tag them on your gps map and drive there later. Pilot does point them out over the headset comms and chat with you sometimes. Some thrill was mixed in as the pilot executed large roll angle on some turns. I also really appreciated the pilot inviting me in the copilot seat to interact with some functions of the small plane under instructions. It is exciting if you are into flight. The tour was super quick to start, we got at least good 30min viewing time high up in air. Can get a bit hot due to lack of ventilation. Flight was very smooth once we gained elevation. If their site says sold out try to leave a message with your planned time and they may give you a surprise call and take you up there!

I've just completed my Design Features Endorsements (Retractable undercarriage & Manual Propeller Pitch Control) with Fly Oz. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism displayed from the CEO/owners down through to the office staff and the 3 instructors I dealt with (I have no doubt the others are just as brilliant given how the organisation is run).

This level of professionalism is achieved whilst maintaining a friendly, family orientated atmosphere which sets the student right at ease immediately. In fact, after being there 2 full days it felt like I had done my entire flight training at this school.

I would highly recommend Fly Oz, and I expect to undertake my Private Instrument Flight Rules training here in due course.

I completed my Multi Engine Instrument Rating with Flyoz in December 2021. The diploma course ran for 8 weeks and I learned so much in that time from some of the best instructors who are all genuinely supportive, extremely knowledgable and passionate about bringing the best out of their students. Lyn and Mark have done an amazing job in building an inclusive culture and setting high standards that puts them at the top of the industry. It doesn't take long to notice the amount of work they put in towards everything they do - from top notch facilities, a well maintained fleet of aircraft, to teaching materials developed in-house and even sausage sizzles every Friday that would put Bunnings out of business.
Thank you to the Flyoz team for some of the best flying I have experienced so far and for ultimately making me a better pilot.

Throughout all the flying schools I have had the privilege of learning at, none can compare to Fly Oz in Cowra. I have flown with every instructor there Including Lyn who did my CPL flight test.
The unity and skill set of this team produce the greatest correlation and understanding of concepts, coupled with the most efficient pathway to achieving your goals. For me, it was to gain a CPL and join the industry professionally. I am now a qualified commercial pilot with a G3 flight instructor rating thanks to Fly Oz.
You will feel completely at home with these people, you will use some of the nicest training aircraft, and you will leave there confident in your abilities whether it be a professional or recreational outlook.
To top off this organisation, you can sit your CASA theory exams at the school, they run out of a brand new hangar, and you will get the results you are after.
