Our daughter started going to Fit Kidz Dural North in April this year. She is nonverbal and we had a difficult experience at her previous school and felt like she was shutting down and we made the quick decision to move her to Fit Kidz after meeting the Director Mel and Assistant Director Brit. Their passion and dedication was so evident and inspiring and we had a great feeling that this was going to be a great school for our daughter. When she made the move to Fit Kidz Dural North the changes in her were amazing to see. She became more social, saying some words, communicating more and so much more brighter and happier. The support and understanding around our daughters needs have been a game changer for us as a family. The anxiety of leaving our daughter at daycare disappeared quickly as we know she is in the more than capable hands of the teachers and carers at Fit Kidz.

I’m a very busy mum of two toddlers and a full time business owner. I called the centre to check for positions for my two children in the new year on two particular days. After a lengthy conversation, the lovely lady confirmed that those days are currently available and that obviously I’d have to come and tour the centre. Shortly after I came in for the tour. I took 3 hours of my working day to come tour the centre, only to be told by Centre Director Mel at the end of my tour that only one of the two days can be accommodated. When I asked the centre director why I was dragged in for a tour after already pre-calling the centre to check on availability, she took no personal responsibility for any of this and pointed the finger at someone else. Completely unprofessional. I wondered then if this was the type of communication that I’d be having with the centre should my children had actually started there?

Update following response: I emailed the business. Response has been shared by the responder below. An email response doesn’t change the fact that the centre confirmed that they had spots available on Mondays and Tuesdays and asked me to come in for a tour only to be told otherwise. I’m not referring to actual offers here. As parents, we cannot be reasonably expected to tour each and every centre in the hope of an offer only to find that there weren't vacancies to start with. That would be a complete waste of people’s time. I’m all for following process but this is ridiculous.

Urging other centres not to consider my family for spots is immature. I reviewed my experience with a business. I believe the response constitutes a personal attack on my character.

This childcare is completely unprofessional, and it’s clear that the children are not their priority. I would NOT recommend this center to anyone. Parents, save yourself the frustration and countless issues when dealing with them. Go somewhere else to find a professional daycare that truly cares.

Finding the perfect daycare for your little ones can be stressful.
I was lucky to come across Fitkidz for my daughter. The care and love from the staff is just fantastic!
They are supportive of our needs and my daughter is always happy and she runs off to her teachers every morning.
The staff are all amazing and we are grateful to have them as educators for our daughter.
I highly recommend this centre to anyone looking for a beautiful place for their little ones.

We moved daycares back in July because we relocated, we were so apprehensive about doing so as our LO loved her old centre. The process was so smooth and our LO after only a few short days was so excited to go to her ‘new school’. The teachers, the grounds, the animals, the environment they provide are everything we could have wished for and more. Our LO is so excited to go to school everyday and this is only thanks to the incredible environment Fit Kidz has provided. If you are in the same position we were or are looking for a wonderful daycare, don’t hesitate!

My youngest has been attending Fit Kidz Dural North since last Dec 2022 and I would happily recommend this centre. Since Mel Hogan (Centre Director) joined, she has been nothing short of brilliant! She has brought new life into Fit Kidz, always a bright cheerful greeting, genuinely cares for the children and their families, possesses a heart of gold, sticks to her promises and has done a world of good at the centre. We are so proud to be part of the Fit Kidz family and I couldn’t speak highly enough about the staff and lovely chef! My daughter (despite being a Covid baby and very attached) has settled in beautifully. I love hearing about her progress, watching her confidence grow & witnessing her sweet little personality develop. As parents, we want nothing but the best for our children and Fit Kidz Dural North empathizes with this at their very core and delivers.

One of the best centres in Sydney with endless options for kids to explore and play. Thay have got a very big land with many different play areas, jumping pillow and farm animals.
Melinda Hogan is one of the most dedicated centre director I have seen in all the daycares that I have explored. She is very passionate about her job and understand the need of each and every kid like her own.

Fit Kidz DN has been an amazing experience for our family. Our 4 year old has flourished since we moved him to the centre. The educators do such an amazing job and the rural feel with all the animals has really helped him settle in. Miss Mel and her team are fantastic!
