Such an amazing experience with Delta! Best experience we had during our Byron trip.

So insightful and powerful. Beyond the stories she told, we were also able to see koalas and understand more about the nature that surrounds us.

She also sells some great salts and oils for cooking. 10/10!

This is a brilliant cultural tour and great for all ages. Delta takes the groups on a short walking tour as she explains local Aboriginal yarns and the local history. She is a local herself and has deep cultural background. The tour finishes with a spectacular bush tucker tasting, along with a wonderful explanation of Aboriginal healing plants. This is a tour not to be missed.

Delta was amazing sharing Bundjalung culture and way of knowing . The connection to country and welcoming nature truly made us feel like we were family . Seeing whales, sea eagles, and koalas was wonderful. The bush tucker experience was tasty and interesting. Highlight of our visit to Gavvanbah(Byron Bay)

This tour is a must do in Byron Bay. We did the Banglow Bush Tour and enjoyed every minute of it. Delta May is an incredible story teller and made the tour very engaging from start to finish. She shared with us the various plants used by the Bundjalung people for food and medicine. We even got to try to finger limes, berries and other plant leaves. At the end of the tour we got a beautiful cup of tea made from the local leaves found along the creek. I would highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Byron.

I did the Brunswick Heads tour with Delta Kay and she was fantastic. Highly recommend this experience for gaining a better understanding of the history and culture of the area and its first peoples. We took 6 kids aged between 5 and 11, and they were happily engaged throughout. We saw dolphins and tried some local bush tucker. Thank you Delta!

Spectacular scenery and Information that after 25 yrs of living in Byron was new to me! A fun, moving, brilliant day out, a must for every local to experience so you know the land better where you are living. Loved the Bush Food Tasting at the end and the heart felt presence of Delta, our guide, all day.

Other than the forgettable generic name of ‘Explore Byron’, the Aboriginal Bush Tucker Tour with Delta was a lovely experience for all ages and walks of life, enjoyed by everyone from my 2-year old to my cynical Aussie partner to my dad visiting from continental Europe. Recommend for anyone having guests over but also should be compulsory for all budding chefs and any Australian in general, very easy way to get to know your native edibles and hear stories from a lovely knowledgeable Aboriginal woman and taste them all. Super family-friendly (which should be highlighted more on the website) - only a 10min walk involved, all in beautiful cool parkland.
