About 12 years ago we moved to the area when my daughter was halfway through year 10.
She was pretty upset to have to leave her friends at the time.
About 4 months into her being there I was called into the office to have them tell me that she was wasting her time at school and advised us against going through to year 12. She wasn’t at the time making great grades but at her previous school was a high achiever and was in GATS (gifted and talented students). None of which they took into account.

My daughter ended up staying at school against their advice and got a scholarship to University. She completed her Master of Research degree, is now doing her PhD and is a lecturer at the University also.
No thanks to the staff at Davidson High.

I think the they could have and more so SHOULD have easily identified a NEW student who was struggling with a move away from their friends and that she needed some support. Not tell her she was wasting her time and theirs.
Thankfully WE did not take their advice.

The children who attend this school were being loud and disruptive during a production of Grease the musical in the capitol theatre. They were kicking chairs, talking and chewing loudly. Not a good image for the school, I am very disappointed.

Please do not send your kids to this school. They do not care about your children’s mental health and well-being, they’d rather threaten you than offer any support or help. And the campus has been described as a prison as they are constantly being watched and recorded and are unable to use their phones which again is horrible for students who are struggling and may need to get in contact with parents. Eg. Had a panic attack and wouldn’t have made it through the day without the comforting words of a parent. Just overall SUCH a negative experience for my family. I cannot warn you enough

It’s a really amazing place, where there are soo many opportunities with regard to leadership, creative arts, academics, and sports. Everyone is very supportive including the teachers, the principal and the deputies.

Also if you’re someone who loves creative arts or sports Davo high is the place.

listen here and listen close, this fine establishment was kinda bonkers. Teachers whack, people fine, health and safety whack.
