Love training at CrossFit Wagga when I’m in town. The staff and the members are always so welcoming and friendly. Do yourself a favour and contact Miranda or one of her friendly staff and organise a free trial session.

*** EDIT-response to owner
Firstly, if a business operates online and requests reviews, they are not all going to be positive. That’s the risk you take. You have responded in a dismissive tone, calling out what I have said being non factual, and I am wrong to have felt the way I did, and they have no part to play!

I was passive in my responses in the session, to help end it. When I did ask a question, the response was always “we will get to that”. The only info you received about my goals was a general form that I didn’t fully complete. It wasn’t on me that the session went overtime. I hardly got a word in.

Just to remind you,, I asked twice about cooling off periods, the one direct time I asked “so there’s no cooling off periods”. You looked at me and said “no it’s a 12 month contract”. If it refreshes your memory, the conversation then went into at the end of the 12 months I still have to give 60 days notice, and then you said “but I’ll talk to you about it then”. I wouldn’t have written such a detailed message about why I wanted to cancel, when I could have just said “I want to cancel using the 7 day cooling off’ period.

Within a few hours of leaving, the owner found ME on my personal FB page, and sent ME a friend request for her personal page! The only other details I had was a group WhatsApp. No business card or further details were given as to how to contact. More than happy to attach screen shots of the messages sent, I was in no way rude.

And finally, the fact that it was their birthday, it doesn’t really matter!!!
If you run a business, the world doesn’t stop on that day! You still may have to work!!!

The owners response is not surprising and actually proves the points I was making- -answered my review in a dismissive style framing it so they are right, and dismissing my concerns as non factual. Why would I write what I did if I didn’t experience it All the best with your business, I don’t wish any harm, just letting you know that perhaps your complaint handling skills need work.

Completely over this now!!

Original review:

Very very disappointed. If I could give zero stars I would. I went in for a half hour consultation that turned in 80 min of an amateur PowerPoint presentation and a dismissive, coercive and pressured owner presenting this. Twice I asked if there was a cooling off period when signing up-no, it’s a 12 mth contract was the answer. The pressure put on me to sign made me feel like I couldn’t leave without signing. I signed, then 3 days later wrote a message to the owner asking to cancel. She agreed. I get a rude message telling me it needs to be done by the Thursday, and she’s very busy. I gave her 4 options of time and days, none suited. It took 3 days to find a time that suited her to sign documents. She would ignore my messages, write back in a passive aggressive tone. This is all after she talked herself up how wonderful and attentive she is. She had no trouble fixing up payment info and setting me up in the system when it came to taking my money! Then she tells me when I cancelled she has to do so much admin… Plus she wanted the ‘gifts’ back (poor quality coffee cup and stubby holder). No problem with that! My main issue is, that when I went in to sign the papers, the first box on the top was the option I am cancelling in the 7 day cooling off period!!! No mention of this, in fact, , lied to my face saying that this was not an option. The funny thing is, she told me that day she would send a confirmation that the cancellation is done-7 days later and an ignored message still hasn’t been done. My guess is, money will accidentally’ come out of my account tomorrow, and I then have to attempt to deal with her more. I am so glad I trusted my instinct-her vibe is quite narcissistic, coercive, and deceitful. To all of the people that go there-wouldn’t get on her bad side lol. She is all an act, money hungry, and fake. That was my experience and impressions of her. As she requested for me to write a google review, here it is.

Great gym!!
Have previously tried a few crossfit gyms with my wife as she loves it and I decided it wasn't for me. Too much yelling and pushing beyond limits on the first visits. Crossfit wagga is so much better. Good balance of support and motivating talk. I can now see why my wife loves this gym. Thanks Miranda!
