Our high achieving high school junior was overwhelmed at the prospect of college and adulthood. She started aiming to avoid college altogether - fine for our other progeny, but not this girl. Her first meeting with College Expert staff turned her around, she became hopeful and then excited for the first time. She ended up with excellent college admission choices, and has just completed her freshman year at an engineering school, loving it and living her best life. I started working with her at the beginning of my sophomore year in high school, and from the early college search phase through making the decision, it took so much stress away from me and my family to have someone to help us understand the pace of the process and keep me on track. By mid summer before my senior year, I was confident in my list of colleges, and Sue provided every resource necessary to maximize my admissions results. She helped me demonstrate interest to my schools, provided journals to fill out as I toured schools so that I could focus on the most important criteria, and most importantly, hosted weekly "essay jam sessions" so that I could stay on pace with my essays and have access to help as needed. I worked with Margaret, one of the "essay experts," and I received so much insightful feedback on my essays, which were integral to the admissions game. They helped him choose classes for high school that would best prepare him for college - and it wasn't all AP classes - they suggested a mix to determine interests. The college search process was fun and interesting. Sue had extensive knowledge of a variety of schools off the top of her head. She suggested a number of schools that my son considered - and helped him narrow it down from there. The jam sessions to help with research and writing were fantastic.
