We bought a face wash and it scanned as $14 even though it was 7 or 8 dollars. We only realized when we got home. We tried calling so many times and spoke to 3 people just to get a refund! No customer service and so rude. The guy didnt even take our details to get a refund (we wont be in for another month due to work) he just hung up. How flipping unbelievable and rude.

Very bad experience just now at Coles Baulkham hills. At the check out with my 2 young kids, an Asian appearance Coles worker yell at us “ toilet paper, scan toilet paper first, it’s the policy, scan toilet paper, toilet paper!” I asked “ can you talk to me nicely? Where is the policy?” He started to yell with higher tones “ toilet paper, toilet paper first! That is the policy!”

I don’t mind scan whatever first, his way of talking treats me like a thief in front of my kids. Not acceptable! Hey Coles if you don’t trust your customer, remove the self check out. If you would like us to scan certain things first, put up a sign to indicate scan sequence.

Don’t treat everyone like a thief yelling at your customers “ toilet paper!”

That’s the end of it for me. Being a loyal customer to Coles Baulkham hills for 9 years, this is going to be my last trip to this shop. Your employee needs to learn to respect your customer and talk properly.

Hubby went to buy a 4 pack of Monster drinks as priced with 30% off $6.40 … when he went to check out it came up as over $9 so he told the assistant but she said $6.40 wasn’t the right price. He went back in the store to check and showed her the photo proving 3 racks of the drinks clearly marked as disc to $6.40 … on very close reading it does say Coca Cola …but there was no explanation, no apology, no offer to let him pay that price - she just laughed! Needless to say we went elsewhere 🙂

My Local for nearly 30 years
Service is still fabulous.
But quality of fresh fruit and veg has been dismal for weeks
And getting croissants on a Saturday even mid morning- had to go to Woolies

I am doing shopping for 15years in Coles Baulkham hills. Lately customer service is getting worst. I have visited wice after 9pm past 2 weeks. Staff is standing there but not helping me for self serve. I had 20 items to purchase every second item it asked for service and it took me so long to complete my purchase. Two CSO was on duty and chatting to each other instead helping me.

We came in on the 11th of November and had to get so many items for a big event happening, I just wanted to highlight their worker Grant, who I believe is manager of dry goods if I remember correctly? But a big big big thanks to him and how helpful he is! So kind and incredibly helpful despite the amount of things we purchased that day. Thank you again Grant!!
