Cinnamon Twist Belly Dance is such a wonderful, welcoming community of like minded people who want to have fun, dance and stay fit. Virginia, Mel and all the other teachers are absolutely great and they make belly dance look easy because it is with their guided teachings. Beginners or advanced everyone is welcome. The community spirit is what keeps people coming back. They are so supportive and once you join they are there as lifetime friends. I started at cinnamon twist belly dance back in 2016, the teachers virginia and Mel are so lovely and welcoming, I had a few years off and back again this year!
I'm so happy I'm back!

I've joined Cinnamon Twist relative recently, having experience in Latin/African dances for over a decade. And being a beginner in belly dancing I can say Virginia is one of the best dance instructors I have ever had the pleasure of learning from! Not only she creates a safe space for all types of personalities in her classes, allowing the creation of a loving and supportive community, she's also an amazing teacher. Virginia's classes are full of knowledge of the cultural and historical background surrounding the dance and music she's teaching, and they are also very well structured, taking you gently but surely into the path of learning something new in a fun way, without missing out on technique. It's been an absolute pleasure meeting Gin, to join this community and continuing exploring my love for dancing!

I highly recommend Virginia at Cinnamon Twist. I have been dancing since 2013 and haven't missed a term yet. I danced throughout my pregnancy. I have learnt so much, not only just dance moves but the music to the culture and traditions, to the outfits and even handmade costumes. This dance community is more the just exercise, it's sister hood and the journey's that comes with it. I've been dancing with Gin for over seven years, starting while I was still at university, and even after taking a break, I couldn’t stay away—I had to come back. Now I’m part of the dance troupe, and couldn’t be prouder to be in this beautiful community.

Gin is an absolute treasure trove of knowledge and experience. She doesn’t just teach the steps; she delves into the history and cultural significance of every bellydance style we learn, giving us a deeper connection to the dance. Her patience, warmth, and infectious energy make every class enjoyable. She ensures that each dancer is always armed with the techniques to look their best as a dancer.

I've also done private lessons with Gin and have gotten SO much out of it! She's also an amazing, beautiful, natural dancer and an incredible choreographer. Will tell you she doesn't do maths, but then proceeds to explain all the physics behind fan veils. 🤭

I love this dance school so much and have developed so many deep friendships here. There's a reason many of us are here for life! Thank you, Gin, for creating such a beautiful, supportive space and for sharing your passion with us all. 💃✨️

I found Cinnamon Twist just before all the doors closed everywhere back in March 2020. We persisted, dancing through zoom for more than a year and I'm so glad I stayed for the ride as I've made such lovely friends through dancing.
