Anglicare/ Caspa are a foster care agency, they get paid $88,000 per child placed per year of tax payers money by the NSW state government. They recruit foster carers to do all the work accommodating and looking after the kids. According to their web site they pay foster carers UP TO $39,000 per year.
If we take this figure from the $88,000 they get paid $49,000 is left over which they keep for themselves.
The web site says you get a monthly visit as foster carers, maybe an hour? Say the social worker is paid $100 a visit. That is $1200 a year.
What happens to the rest of the money?
Some of it goes to lawyers who sue foster carers that criticize them.
The CEO Todd Yourell sued a foster carer who criticized him for $100,000 presumably using the charity's money [paid by tax payers.]
The foster children they place could be violent teenagers on bail for assaulting a teacher, excluded from school, the foster carer has to supervise these kids all day every day 24 hours a day, accommodate, feed, pay for activities, home school drive them around etc, for a payment that is less than what a day care center gets paid for looking after a well behaved toddler. If the foster carer needs any help they are told there is NO MONEY.

Honestly wouldn’t even bother. They just want your money and then you are a number. Tried calling, emailing my ndis coordinator on numerous occasions and still hasn’t responded. Tried calling the office and they don’t even answer the phone. Highly recommend to look at another service provider to help with your needs.

I Lived in their Keen Street Children's home for 2 and a half miserable years. The careers mean well, but that kind of environment is just terrible.
Hopefully someone better is running the shop.
