Visited here with a friend. Overall, we didn’t feel very welcome as no one really attempted to start a conversation with us even though it was clear we were new. A couple of ladies at the door gave us a welcoming bag and told us to enjoy, and then a guy afterwards told us there was hot drinks outside. We went to get a hot drink but were confused where to go/what to do, and everybody seemed caught in their own conversations or doing something. I tried to talk to someone who brushed me off. We ended up leaving as we felt a bit overwhelmed and out of place.

I felt quite disappointed with our experience visiting because if this had been our first experience of church or were exploring Christianity, I would be very put off from visiting a church again.

We also found the teaching to be a bit confusing without a clear Scriptural basis for all the pastor’s points, not sure how Biblically accurate it was. The welcoming bag is also a little confusing with a random prayer letter invite.

The church seems to have a very regular committed group of people who enjoy being there, but i think need to be more intentional about welcoming others in and not just saying on the stage that newcomers are welcome without action to back that up.

TLDR; we won’t be back based on the teaching or welcoming.

My husband Allan and I have been going to the C3 church in Old Erowal Bay for over two years and know we have found a home. Worship and teaching is Holy Spirit led and early morning collective prayer 6 days a week is priority. Our youth and children are cared for on a personal level. There's always something happening .. and after church we hang around for 'munch' (my term for morning tea/lunch) .. to make new acquaintances or friends .. which we have done. If you miss out one Sunday .. the sermons are video recorded and put on the website. Pastors Steve and Suzie are mates as well as shepherds.

A church were you feel very welcome and at home with God. Pastor Steve and Susie inspire and excite us into worshipping and Pastor Steve has a unique and informative way of getting God's message across

Even with covid, distancing is in place and yet with a loud speaker we were able to sit out back, and the verandah cafe was in operation with hot drinks and cooked food.
Even more important to me we had communion served in person, and we hadn't had it for months coz of covid restrictions at our own church.
