Just finished a kitchen consultation with Mick from Bunnings, and I have to say that they have impressed me so much. I am a Quantity Surveyor who has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years and Mick is one of the most professional and proficient consultant I have ever met. I have never witnessed someone who could plan, design and deliver a written and detail drawing quote within a 2 hour appointment window. He was not even rushed to completed this. Well done Bunnings, you definitely have an asset to your Northern Rivers store..

Prior to the February 2022 floods, 5 under cover designated parking spots were available at the Northern end of the store. These allowed people with disabilities, and anyone assisting them to get into and out of their vehicles, side or rear exits and entries without getting wet or wet car interiors.
When the floods came and the Lismore store destroyed, this area was used to accommodate supplies for both store customers, until the Lismore store was fully operational. However, even after both stores were fully functional, this area has been fenced off and not available to persons with a disability.
Initially, 2 parking spots of ordinary dimensions were made available between the main entrance and the garden entrance, too narrow for vehicles with side hoists/ramps. That has now been reduced to one. So the total parking spots designated to PWD is 3.
Ballina has a large elderly population. Their interest in accessing the plants and other products is impacted by the lack of suitable parking.
PWD and parents with young children receive further neglect by a complex of its size having only one combined parenting room and disability accessible toilet. This can lead to queues of people in discomfort waiting for their turn.
Can the management of Bunnings Ballina set plans in motion to correct these discriminatory practices as soon as possible.

One of the friendliest and helpful Bunnings stores in Australia. Great team, lots of experience and it's so great when living in a small community the team there remember the locals and regulars but also treat everyone the same. Always a pleasure when leaving to pay to see the beautiful happy ladies and lads to say good bye to when exiting. Car park is always busy but once you fina a park there will be a trolley waiting and someone to help with bulky items.

Great staff and customer service all round. The staff are knowledgeable about all products and where they are located in the store. Check out staff are well trained, polite and engage in friendly chats. They floor is always tidy and clear from mess and trip hazards. The in store cafe has great food and drinks for reasonable prices. The shelves are always stocked and they have a large variety of products. Every weekend there is always a sausage sizzle, and there is always plenty of parking available. Overall a great store to shop at for your hardware supplies. Would recommend
