Love the Scottish Highland Gathering. After a few years off, it was great to have it in again this year. Great chance to experience all things Scottish at this cultural event. Plenty of stalls, stuff for the kids, and games to check out

Fantastic day out. Unfortunately, still, there isn't enough vendors selling Scottish food. It used to just be one, but now there's two and it's still not enough. The queues for each were phenomenal, waiting up to 30 minutes to be served. Sold out of most stuff by 1pm.

I'm not sure if more people attended than what they were expecting, even though tickets were on sale online. It was a problem from the get go with parking, food queues, seeing the stalls, and trying to see the events. We stood in a food queue for 40 minutes to get pancakes for my granddaughter, but the queue for the chip on a stick & Pluto pup my grandson wanted was 2 hours. We missed most of the events because we stood in queues for so long. I was going to pack lunch to take, but my husband said the Web page said they had lots of food vans, so give the kids a treat. It was no treat. It would have been a fun day if they organised for the crowds.

Wonderful day each year. Especially if you enjoy all things Scottish. Massed pipes and drums, highland games, dancing, heavy lifting events, sword fighting, food, pageantry, clan ancestry and so on. I've taken to dressing the part the past few years, wearing a kilt with its various accessories. Great fun day for all ages and a lovely location.

It was a positive experience for the family chatting to the clan stalls about our heritage. So many helpful and passionate ex-pats! I was only disappointed by the omission of an acknowlement to country at the opening ceremony.
