We visited Briars Bistro for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Booked ahead. The place is rustic with great atmosphere. Food selections are great and there is a separate wood-fired Pizza menu. The service from the staff was friendly and efficient. The Steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were generous portions. The desserts were amazing. Highly recommend it and will come again next time visiting the Southern Highlands.

We enjoyed a wonderful late Father's Day Lunch at The Briars for 4 yesterday. Such a convenient place to meet as the mid point between Sydney and Lake George, with plenty of parking and a restaurant that doesn't close between lunch and dinner. We love the casual yet up market vibe and great service. The menu is huge with something to please everyone. Reservation recommended (online is available too). We will be back. (Only criticism, the roast of the day with Yorkshire pudding, needed gravy.)

Absolutely loved our experience at Briars! Even though it was a packed Friday night, we were warmly welcomed by Alex, who greeted us at the door. He was incredibly friendly, charming, and went out of his way to help us find our table. We instantly felt at home, and his genuine kindness really set the tone for a great night. Alex is truly a credit to this place – Briars is lucky to have him! It’s rare to come across such outstanding service these days, and he definitely restored our faith in genuine hospitality. Thanks, Alex!

What an amazing find! Casually drove past this place and googled it when we saw the carpark full, we did a u-turn and headed right back when we saw the menu on offer.

Admittedly the place is abit pricey, we paid $20+ for a jug of coke, that however made no impact on how amazing this place is.
The food, service, atmosphere is brilliant, staff are super friendly and the food is spot on perfect. Will definately be visiting again on a better day so we can explore the grounds!

Went to Moss Vale on an unplanned trip last Saturday and saw Briars on the road. We decided to stop over, and to our surprise, the place was beautiful and stunning. We decided to grab some lunch, but apparently, they are usually booked on weekends. When we approached the host, we were greeted by Peter, who was extremely kind and accommodating. Even without a prior reservation, he managed to find us a table inside, as long as we could leave before the next booking. The kids were all very happy. We felt very welcomed, and while all the staff were kind, Peter stood out and made us feel especially welcome.

Peter, you made our day! Hopefully we made yours with this review!

Delicious food.

The restaurant seams like a renovated farmhouse. The house is split into a Bar and a restaurant.

The restaurant itself is self serve, what in this case means that you sit down at your table look at the menu and then order it at the counter across three room. After you paid you get a no. that the waiters can bring the food to the table.

The Menu has many different options for meat eaters but also for vegetarians.

The vague sausages and the pork cut with apples were very well cooked and delicious.

The prices for the main dishes start at 31$. The Pork was 36$.

Briars Inn has a fancy old country restaurant style. I’m coming back.

We've visited a few times and could not fault any of our experiences! Service was attentive and accomodating, food was beautiful as were our cocktails. We kept warm on the verandah in the otherwise chilly, dreary Winter weather and enjoyed the surrounds as we ate. We definitely have a soft spot for this place and will definitely return time and time again.
