Not only a top-notch dance school but they sure know how to host the most fantastic kids birthday party! The staff were so attentive and so great with the kids. They came with so much energy and ensured that everyone was involved and I can say that they all had a great time, especially the birthday girl! Her friends were saying that they want to have a base party too! We're super happy with how it went especially because it's the first party we didn't have to do a thing except turn up! I highly recommend as a busy, short-for-time mum 💖

I wanted to say thank you for creating such a wonderful space for my son to grow in confidence. It's truly fantastic that there's a place where boys can freely explore dance. Every class he is overflowing with joy and excitement.
My son has always been soccer focused, but recently he even turned down team training because he wouldn't miss breakdancing for anything.

This has been the Second year my daughter has attended and she LOVES IT. We love it too- chantal and samson are sooo lovely and also all their friendly staff. My daughter gets so excited to go to all her classes. My child stuggles with having confidence but with Base181 her confidence has boosted alot. After every class my daughter cant wait to show off her moves. I couldn’t imagine my child any where else. Highly recommend!

Absolutely shocked by how Base181 has handled things, especially how Chantal made it personal by disadvantaging my children. My kids were invited to join the REP team at the end of last year because they were excelling in their regular classes. They loved being part of the team and were so excited to dance. But after providing honest feedback about the studio’s payment system for the last six months, Chantal suggested my kids leave the REP team.

Instead of addressing the actual problem—the payment system—she chose to disadvantage my kids, who had no control over any of this. It’s heartbreaking that she would even consider taking away something they love over an issue that’s out of their hands.

The payment system has been a nightmare, with claims of no hidden charges and fees when there’s actually a 2.75% processing fee every time, incorrect charges, and unexpected withdrawal dates that led to bank fees on our end.

We’ve raised concerns repeatedly for the last 6 months, and instead of focusing on the issue, Chantal suggested my kids leave the REP team and stick to regular classes. By suggesting this, we have no confidence that our kids won’t be treated differently moving forward. The way this has been handled is not just unfair, but feels like a punishment to children who simply want to dance.

I never expected this from a place that promotes itself as a community. Chantal’s decision to make this about the kids, rather than addressing the ongoing payment issues, is beyond disappointing.

I have experienced ongoing payment issues with Base181 since August 2024. Payments have been taken at incorrect times, and the charges have been higher than the stated fees. If this continues, I will have paid over $150 in extra fees alone—not including the actual dance fees. Due to these issues, I’ve also incurred bank charges. Additionally, no invoices are provided.

While they advertise a "peaceful payment plan" with no hidden fees and no hidden charges, my experience has not aligned with this claim.

Unlike other dance companies I’ve dealt with, Base181 lacks payment flexibility, as there is no option for BPAY or direct debit (without the additional charges).

While the teachers, the dance, the confidence within kids, the community they create is wonderful, the payment system remains a significant drawback.

Hopefully, they resolve these issues soon.

Base181 Studios in Rouse Hill is a wonderful place to start your child's dance journey and build their confidence. It is a fun and inviting environment that is child centred. They focus on fun, building confidence and positive reinforcement. My son does not always enjoy "new" things, but after his first trial lesson he was eager to return and loves his lessons each week. The lessons are carefully planned and age appropriate using fun real life examples to help them remember the dance moves.
Thank you to Base181, you really do go above and beyond.
