A toxic and heartless work environment that doesn’t care about anybody. They made up lies about me during the Covid pandemic, and fired me with very short notice and no severance pay, destroying my reputation and ultimately ending my career. It has ruined my life and left me in deep poverty with nothing as a result. I went above and beyond for that filthy disgusting place, which was horribly infested with cockroaches and infectious fleas that has left me with scars on my legs even to this day. I would avoid sending my kids there if not for hygienic reasons, then for ethical and moral ones.

This school is absolutely appalling the kids are very disrespectful and the never listen, one of the kids closed a door and i lost a strand of hair from that experience and it has now scared me for life. shout out to the best teacher mr dazza aka dazzasouraus aka dozzo aka daisy doran

as a barker student, the vast majority of us are perfectly respectful students outside of school. saying all of us are disrespectful is a stereotype. i enjoy this school very much and i wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

I started at this school in year 3 and so far, it was good! The teachers were kind, the students are encouraging and this school is overall, welcoming! I highly recommend to send your kids to Barker as its learning opportunities are more or less, endless.

i had a very enjoyable time here. not only were the facilities great, the teachers and students were also very supportive! not only did my academics improve, my behaviour did as well! if you want a bright future, you should definitely attend this school!

As someone who has gone to 4 schools, Barker has been the most welcoming and tolerant of all. I had some unique circumstances around my attendance, and they worked so hard to make me comfortable and my education as good as humanly possible. I have no qualms in saying that I believe this is the best and most accepting school on the North Shore.

Also, for the people saying outside of school behaviour is terrible - please know that they do not represent all of us. The majority of Barker students are actually respectful and mindful, but it tends to be the loud and rude ones who get noticed. They are a small percentage of our school population and their poor behaviour is noted and recorded by staff.

Day 1 of school holidays and I ended up ferrying some Barker yr7 and 8 kids to a bike park. The conversation was about school. Eaves dropping on their conversation it was lovely to hear many positive comments about teachers and the school…even if the child/ren concerned expressed their “hatred” for a subject! The most wonderful note to mention was the unanimous respect and affection for Mr.Heath (Headmaster) and his classes.
