Had a surf lesson this morning with Dave and it was great. He was there early and had all the gear we needed. The lesson was clear and simple and we were in the water and able to surf some waves within the 2 hours. Definitely recommend.

We had two private surfing sessions with Dave at Flat Rock this week and he was fantastic - really skilled and positive, we had so much fun and our surfing improved heaps, with the chance to use different boards and heaps of constructive advice

This is my third lessons with Dave - I had a few lessons over summer with him and booked as soon as I got back up here. He's so nice and gives such great tips - will be booking more lessons with him for sure! I've had lessons in Bali, Byron and Victoria and I just love my sessions with Dave. Dave is a great teacher, I've taken three lessons with him so far, with more to come. He's got a great spot for beginners, where it's not too deep and you can stand up when needed. The progression has been noticeable, over the last three lessons I've learned to paddle onto the wave, ride it in and do a few turns along the way as well. He's super chill and patient, and a great guy.

I only started surfing 6 months ago. After a couple of failed attempts on my first board (a mid length) I contacted Dave from a Google search. I was really Impressed with his knowledge of the local surfing spots and felt comfortable with his easy to understand and friendly teaching style so I decided to get a weekly 'one on one' lessons. Dave knew my level and ability and always found the right spot and conditions suitable for me to progress the fastest. Thx to Dave within a few months I was ready for my first short board and bought a 6ft 'pod mod'. I recently did a lesson with Dave where he videoed me and went over the footage afterwards pointing out what I was doing well and where I could improve. I actually found this so helpful and already within a week of that video analysis feel like I have made a lot of progress, maybe...have to wait til next week's lesson and see some footage for proof haha!
All in all, Dave is professional, extremely knowledgeable and now with his experience in video analysis I reckon he offers the best value for money as far as surf coaching goes

Had a private lesson with David at Shaws bay, it was awesome. I improved so fast and so well I couldn't do it on my own. I wanned to learn how to turn and I did! And even more! We got my critical turns fine tuned and worked at speed down the line. Even learn to pump and win speed. At the end I was worn out and pumped at the same time. Such amazing feelings.
