ONLY go with this company if you’re 1000% sure this is the path you want to take. Enquired about studying here to get qualifications; no actual sign up or enrolment form, had to have a phone call to receive all of the information and on that same phone call they requested all of my information to FINALISE the enrolment. It is probably my fault for not taking my time but I was keen at the time and decided to go with it.
The week before my course was due to start some things in my life had changed and along side that my interest in studying here had changed. I after a whole week of emailing back and forth (if you get an email back then reply straight away you still have to wait another 2-3 business days for a reply) I got my course deferred for 5 months in order to sit on my decision whether or not to commit to this.
Here I am 5 months later and I no longer wish to pursue this career and have attempted to withdraw from my courses only to find out that I am now 100% liable for the full fees. I have to pay thousands of dollars for a course I haven’t even begun and will never complete even though I have changed my start date.
It may be in the fine print and it may be in the agreement I had signed but I believe this is highly unethical.
I am left with no choice but either to withdraw and pay, defer again and not only still have to pay the fees as they won’t allow me to pause my plan but there’s also a $300 deferment fee, or I can study and pay for a course I no longer have interest in.
I’m sure the course is great and the team there are great but this experience has really hurt me and shall I wish to ever revisit this career path again I will not be choosing AIF.
