Two young travelers from the city on a roadtrip to brisbane. We spent a night in town and wanted to explore the local sights. While we were not sure what to expect from the australian country music hall of fame we were absolutely blown away. We have never seen a greater tribute to Slim Dusty, Tex Morton and the likes. Absolute must see when in Tamworth even just for a couple of hours.

I’m not really into country music, but the small museum takes you through the history of Australian country music through the decades. With lots of exhibits (think cowboy hats, boots and guitars) there is a wealth of music history in this small museum.

Not great. Expensive for what it was. They try hard but unless you’re Australian it doesn’t mean much. They do have some fairly cool old recording equipment though

We visited The Australian Country Music Hall of Fame. Now I know Country music singers but I don’t listen or play it.. Each to their own
But I was blown away today , I remember all the older singers and musicians obviously because they were so good. It’s true even if you are not into Country music you will get s kick out of everything there. The young guy who took our $7 each to get in he was a nice young guy. Very friendly
There was so much to look at and then they have 5 era’s on video with John Laws was the narrator. Then in another room there was about 5 more videos of interviews with people like Lee Kernaghan, Slim Dusty , Keith Urban .

I’m from Mooroopna Victoria and so were The
Hawking Bros. Russell and Alan started the bad in 1955. They won quite a few awards at the Golden Globes in the 1970s
They were best friends with my great uncle.
So even if you don’t like Country music do yourself a favour and pop in you certainly
will enjoy it
