Unfortunately I had a really bad experience with John. I booked this place because I needed to travel to the area for my grandmothers funeral. When we arrived it became apparent we had booked the following weekend by accident. It was really stressful trying to find another place last minute. Here’s the really unfortunate part though, I had booked only 3 days prior, so the booking was made and cancelled 3 days later. John refused to refund, even though he agreed he wouldn’t have lost a booking in that time. It honestly made a sad feel devastating. We couldn’t afford that Very expensive mistake. A little kindness could have gone a long way.

Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Peter and Christine make every effort to make sure you get what you need from your holiday. They're more than happy to leave you to your own devices, or share a meal with them if you choose. The bedrooms are beautiful themed with handcrafted quilts and fantastic views. The kitchen is clean and fully equipped.
We basically had the choice of anything we wanted for breakfast accompanied by a lovely coffee.
Unfortunately we didn't get the opportunity to participate in any workshops but will certainly be back!
The gallery also holds beautiful artisan goods.
Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

We took our UK relatives and their partners (and our two dogs) to Peter and Christine's 'Artisans on the Hill' over the New Year. What a fantastic place. It accommodated all ten of us (& dogs) so well in the open plan living space while also providing places to retreat when that suited. This very successful combination allowed for everyone to find the space just for them.||||Peter and Christine were outstanding hosts who had an uncanny knack for giving us space, and engaging with us in a whole range of ways. I think they were just the kind of artisans we'd all like to know! And by the end we really felt we did know them.||||We all thoroughly enjoyed the gallery and bought some pieces. Youngest son did the kite-making workshop and loved it. I really enjoyed seeing the workshop in action and have the turned wooden spinning top to prove it. ||||Now catering for ten is not an everyday challenge, but this kitchen rarely had too many cooks. A special treat for me was to walk out of the house and past the veranda to the raised-bed vege and herb patch and pick from lettuces, tomatoes, chives, basil, thyme, oregano to make the freshest of salads etc. C'est magnifique!||||And the view of the valley was perpetually engaging with its rolling hills and breath-taking skyline. Our dogs were intrigued by the neighbours' 'very big dogs' (cows) and never quite seemed to get their silent stare back.||||Parking was a breeze, and the entrance led to three of the bedrooms via the hall and a fourth door to the main living area and on to the other two bedrooms. The hall hosted an extensive alphabetically-ordered DVD library and a library of books - each holding several things that would appeal to each guest.||||I'd say that Artisans was all that we hoped for - and much more.

As always a delight to visit, the owners are a deep wealth of knowledge and love to share their passion. The Gallery is amazing and stocked with all kinds of cool and creative artisan pieces made from mostly local artists. The views are to die for and the peace and solitude is just divine, and with a fully self contained retreat with linen supplied there are ample beds and room to accommodate groups or family's who wish to get away together. While your staying take part in the workshops that are taught by Both Peter and Chris and take home your own piece of art. Will not disappoint

We stayed here with our dog in March 2016. It is a great, homey and friendly place to stay. Peter and Christine are wonderful hosts - even letting us sit down to dinner with them! Great place to stay for people with dogs as they can stay in the room with you and run around the property. Also lovely that all guests sit down to breakfast together. Would definitely recommend as a friendly, non-run of the mill place to stay.

Last minute decision to check this place out while driving from Taree to Wingham & was very glad we did. The unique art & sculptures were amazing. Fantastic place for a coffee with an amazing view. Very relaxing atmosphere. Can't remember the man's name that showed the kids & I around but he was so friendly & welcoming. On my next visit to Wingham I definitely plan on visiting again.

Wonderful hosts and spacious and comfortable accommodation. We also participated in the art workshops on offer with something to suit the talents of each member of the family. Thoroughly recommend this to other people seeking a refuge from the bustle of the city or an opportunity to indulge their creativity.
