I have had the absolute pleasure of undergoing my NC1 training with Kel from All Hands on Deck, and it was nothing short of fantastic. The time and experience that Kel shared with me have greatly increased my knowledge and skills at sea, increased my confidence, and most importantly, has provided greater appreciation of the things that can go wrong at sea and how to mitigate them. I feel my training by Kel has made me a better and safer skipper, and I really had a great time too. I would like to give Kel my highest recommendation for for anyone wanting to increase their boating skills. I also can't thank Kel enough for all of the help and support along the way. Absolutely incredible experience and service with obtaining my GPH (Near Costal) qualification and General Boat Licence. Kel went above and beyond helping me with the course, knowledgeable and friendly. The course was incredibly convenient allowing me to study and complete assessments and exams at home, only requiring 1 practice day allowing me to continue to work and complete this course simultaneously. The course was also fantastically priced allowing to get my foot in the door for the marine industry. 10/10!

I just completed my Coxswain course with Kel and I can only say good things about the experience! Kel is a really nice guy and always willing to help with anything. He is full of knowledge and you can tell he has been in this industry for many years. Not only did I learn more than I ever thought I would but I enjoyed it aswell. Absolute gentleman of a bloke - Kel. I experienced nothing but kindness, patience, perseverance and encouragement all the way through my Coxswain course. Any time of the day or night, if I called, Kel responded and supported me through any challenges I had without hesitation. I could not have completed this course without his guidance, care and expertise. He pulled out all stops to get me over the line, supported me to get my AMSA documentation together, just kept giving and giving through and through with genuine care and professionalism. He is just an amazingly awesome and genuine bloke to work with who really wants the best for his students. Wanted a career change, and contacted Kel beforehand to see if this course and industry would suit me. He was awesome- spent the time to explain the course, his experiences, and answer all my questions.
The course suited my needs perfectly- needed a course I could do remotely as I couldn’t take time off work. Whenever I had difficulty understanding the info, Kel was just a phone call away to help guide my understanding. There was plenty of resources and downloadable content for me learn, as well as online activities to help make the knowledge stick.
The final practical day was fun. Lots of hands on activities- swimming, fire fighting, driving boats, tying knots- was a great final test, and couldn’t have done it so effectively without the guidance and support of this company. Im now a full time deckhand working on Sydney Harbour, and its been an awesome journey so far!
Highly recommend these guys for anyone considering getting into the maritime industry, or anyone looking to skill-up.

Fantastic company…Kel was so professional and an absolute legend to deal with. Went above and beyond to help me throughout my course. The coursework they provide is easy to follow and I really learned a lot and as a result was an incredibly informative and enjoyable course to complete. I'm in the final stages of completing my coxswain cert 1 with All hands on deck and I couldn't be happier with the support and guidance throughout the entire process.
The material is all provided to you, well set out and easy to complete and work through at your own pace.
Kel touches base regularly via phone and zoom to assist you and ensure you have a thorough understanding of all aspects before any assessments. I've recently completed the 2 day practical assessment which was a blast, Kel and Nino were excellent to deal with. They provide a wealth of knowledge, alongside big personalities who love a joke and a story. I'd recommend them to anybody looking to gain a marine qualification.
