My advice to all students who are pursuing your HS DIPLOMA. The only key to success is "NEVER GIVE UP." All the struggles you face is the part of the process, and at the end, you will achieve!

Trying to get my granddaughter to get GED, but this district has made it very difficult. She went online to do orientation, but the counciler did tell she has to be on school website to dot, how does a person get on schoolweb site when you aren't not a student yet. The failure of the email says nothing about the school website. This is not to treat someone that trying improve herself. Shame on adult education for this kind of treatment.

I graduated early around April of 2012, I did credit by exam, so I completed all my credit class with in 12 hour across 3 days. I was missing 7 and half credits so pretty much a school year. But I did finish in 3 days. Plus I stayed and took my writing exam which I earned 7 additional credits, so more than earn my diploma. Do credit by exam if your behind because all you need to do is take a test for each course you need and you may pass it with at least D, 60%, you just earned a half a year credit on that particular class you needed. This school want you to earn a diploma and the staff will help you do that. I got Mr. Hartman to help me with writing. Easy class to pass and also can earn half a credit each week if you go to class that week at the end of the week, Friday you take a small quiz and you get credit for it. Super easy. But just do credit by exam and just review for about 10min for each class test, memorized the answers and Bam, you pass with the lowest passing grade D minus, thus earning a credit. Good luck and put the effort in and don't skip class or leave really to hangout. really apply your self and you will succeed. Also go with a High school diploma instead of a GED. It help out when you try to get a job. So does a GED but employers look for the most qualified.

The teachers are super unorganized and not very nice to students. It literally takes 2-3 days just for them to get ahold with me for a zoom meeting or with any information. They always book a meeting for you but end saying last minute they can’t get to you . I was supposed to graduate in four months but ended up being a year cause of the problems I have with them. They criticize you about where you going afterwards and how it’s not that big of a deal. Won’t even let me take more than one classes. The videos is what takes longer than the actual work. Which isn’t needed because you really don’t need the information. It doesn’t help at all.

Attended before covid hit. I want to say around april or may of 2020, whenever Covid didnt exist. I have nothing bad to say. My history teacher Monica was a pleasure to work with. Though it was a short stay, as I completed my credits in 2 weeks. I think I struggled with math the most, but having 2 teachers in the room there to personally help me was a huge blessing, otherwise I would not have graduated, or passed all my math credits.

When corona hit, I was finishing my last 2 math classes online, and the teachers where still awesome. Dont be afraid to ask for help, thats what they are there for!! This was online mind you, sharing our screens and what not. I cant say what its like now in 2021 August. But my experience was amazing. Shoutout to my math teacher akinyoe and history teacher monica 🙂

Dont give up, keep finishing your credits, one credit and class at a time, I know it may seem overwhelming, but I also didnt know I'd graduate. Now I applied for college. There is always hope, finish your HS diploma! Its free.
