I visited the workers club due to horrific circumstances and spoke with the CEO (Ben), who was absolutely lovely. He took the time to sit down with me and have a decent conversation, and I truly appreciate that.
The entire venue seemed to be very clean and much bigger inside than I had anticipated.
The other staff were all lovely and accommodating also.

EDIT. WHAT A BUNCH OF FAKE INCONSIDERATE TROUBLE MAKERS.

My son worked his butt off at this place, but when he was in a near fatal accident, they didn't care.
Actions speak louder than words!
I approached them to ask them to run a fundraiser to help assist with my son's care as I am a single mother with Mitochondrial Disease and I have no money.
So while I sacrificed every cent and bit of sanity I had left, The Toronto Workers Club (cumulatively) couldn't even help with five dollars!!

Then Taylor would like to assert that I didn't work for the Toronto Workers Club and they owe me nothing.

No kidding Taylor.

My son did and he worked very hard for this place! Were his last wages even paid? And if you owe him leave and sick pay, you actually should just pay it without causing a drama.

My son deserved better. They failed with their duty of care.
My son nearly died.
And these mongrels still think it's some kind of game.

ITS NOT A GAME. ITS NOT FUNNY.
DONT PLAY GAMES WITH PEOPLE'S LIVES!

Zero stars. Don't support people with morals like this.

Great place to have a game of Snooker and Billiards. They only have 2 Full size tables. Plus the Entertainment is good, particularly for my musicians friends to support live music as I am one of them myself as a musician too.

My husband and I ate here
yesterday.
All the staff were super friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere.
The bistro meal wasn't so great. My husband had a steak sandwich which wasn't too bad. At least it was edible.
I ordered wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce. I received a plate of tiny wedges, a quarter the size of normal ones, and that oily they weren't edible.
Don't think we'll rush back anytime soon.

This workers club has a great selection of spirits, and beers. It had two pool tables, and two snooker tables.

I tried dinner in the restaurant. It was quiet nice.
For a entree we shared scallops. 3 where natural the other 3 had caviar on them. The ones with caviar were a little too salty for my liking. The natural ones where amazing. It had freshly made house pesto and sweet potato purée.

For a main I have the barramundi. It was so soft they must of poached it or steamed it and cooked the skin in the pan. It was the softest fish I have ever had. Was amazing it came with a side of broccolini that where cooked to perfection, and sweet potato purée that was delicious.

My friend have the southern fried chicken burger it was great , he enjoyed it very much

I highly recommend this club.

We dined on Father's Day, which was busy, but they seemed to be coping well & getting orders out quite quickly, however the quality left a lot to be desired. The house salads that came with meals were wilted & dry (not sure if they forgot the dressing or if this is a new undressed salad the chef is trialing), the side of chips was soggy, & the sauces all tasted of garlic. My "pepper sauce" didn't have a single peppercorn in it & just tasted of cream & garlic. I even checked with the kitchen as I thought I must have been given dianne sauce by mistake but was assured that this is "their version of pepper sauce" (so, pepper sauce with no peppercorns?).

Only one person at the table finished their meal, & it wasn't because the portions were too large, it was because the quality was disappointing. We did take a Caesar salad & a carbonara home however both ended up in the bin as they weren't great at the venue so by the time they were refrigerated for the afternoon they were inedible that evening.

The fish tank in the foyer is looking cloudy & dirty & the poor fish all look drab & don't seem to have much energy at all. It needs a good clean out & the fish need to be checked on to make sure they are healthy. Very disappointing to see the animals not taken care of. It would be better to get rid of this feature if no one is going to ensure a good environment for the fish to live in.

As always, staff are lovely & welcoming & the venue was clean (aside from the fish tank).

The staff and the service here are mostly excellent but what really lets this place down is the often appalling food from the restaurant. It does vary though. Sometimes the food is cold. Sometimes it is completely different from the same dish you ordered before and not what the menu described. Having resigned myself to the option of a bowl of chips, the restaurant even ran out of chips. Disappointing.

Decided it was time to visit the club after living in the area for 7 years. Really enjoyed it. Good food, good atmosphere, and a lot of gluten free options on the menu for those with Coeliac disease. Went back another 2 times and then decided to become a member. So why only 3 stars? The first is that the specials board does not indicate what is gluten free, and when I ask at the counter they dont know and behave like I am such a terrible inconvenience for asking if they could find out. This happened on two visits. I get that its an inconvenience and I don’t mind that they don’t know, that’s all good, but when there is literally no one else in the line waiting to order, why make a big deal of having to go ask someone and talk to me as though I ruined your day? The second reason is because in spite of the staff members who really didn’t want to find out what was gluten free, I liked it enough to became a member to get the member discounts at the restaurant as I could see myself going a lot more. However, the membership system is not very good. I joined online, paid my fees, got my member card instantly in the app etc, this part all worked a charm. I went to the club all excited to be a member this time and my card was accepted at reception. However, In spite of presentation of the member card in my name showing valid membership until the end of the year, which scanned perfectly fine on arrival at the club, the restaurant system would not find me and they refused to give the member discount. I assume it’s an issue with new member cards perhaps taking an excessively long time to get into the restaurant system, but nevertheless, the blanket refusal to do anything about it and requiring non-member pricing is a bit rich and leaves a really bad taste in the mouth of a first time visit as a member. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the fact I want to support them due to the brilliant GF menu, I would never come back after that experience. Subsequently on this occasion I didn’t bother getting any drinks or dessert, nor spending money anywhere else at the club. I did on previous visits but the member treatment was so underwhelming I didn’t want to share any more of my hard earned money with them. So, all in all, assuming the member discount issue is in fact a system issue that gets sorted out, the main reason for loss of stars is simply the restaurant service. The cafe is a different story. They are always lovely and extremely helpful with what is gluten free and they have delicious slices and cakes, definitely try some of them! I’ve attached photos of the current restaurant menu with GF options highlighted by the restaurant. As you can see, there is a lot on there for Coeliac sufferers, which is awesome and so i really do want to support the club more for having so many great choices!
