It’s been nearly 2 years since engaging Voquest and I have eventually secured find a new role with my current employer as part of a newly formed Strategic Business Development Team. My role is Technical Business Development Manager with responsibilities to advise and guide the future direction of our business, working with internal and external stakeholders and to provide expert technical advice to the the business.
Amazingly, the role is almost a perfect fit with the job profile I
developed for myself during the Voquest program.
This result also fitted well with my personal circumstances- having a
long career in the one company, I can now leverage my experience at a
higher level. The other factor, on a personal level, was that I can now
make use of accumulated long service leave which I plan to use in my own
version of a transition to retirement.
I learnt a lot throughout the Voquest process - about myself and about how
to promote and network. I will carry that knowledge into the next
chapter of my career and for the rest of my life.
I would like to thank Voquest staff for their guidance, suggestions,
support and counselling throughout this challenging period of my career.
For me it’s business as possible, not business as usual
