Fantastic day care centre. Clean. Well managed. Great and extensive supervision. Our child had blossomed in the 6 months of their attendance. Plenty of space and appropriate separation between younglings and older kids. Every staff member is warm, welcoming and loving. We have a high degree of trust which is vital when picking a daycare. We screened other child cares and this one came out on top.

My little one has been with NELC for the past 2 years 5 days a week, and it has become his comfort zone outside home. We have seen him develop tremendously with a lot of focus on age appropriate learning in every room right from nursery. The educators at NELC are very attentive & caring and create a fun environment for the kids. The centre director is very hands on & focused on the children’s development and has been a great room leader herself. The chef does a great job with the menu & makes sure the kids are exposed to a variety of foods through the week. We are happy we chose NELC for our little one and it is reassuring to have this support system for our little one.

We’ve been at NELC for almost 4 years and would definitely recommend the centre. The staff are amazing, genuine and caring. They go out of their way each morning to make sure our children have a good drop off. The centre has also been very flexible as our family grew with adding/removing days. Other than the staff, one of our favourite things about the centre is that they break the rooms by year age group (0-1, 1-2 etc) so the learnings can be tailored to that particular age group.

Unfortunately, we haven't had a very smooth experience at NELC. Since enrolling our child in October last year, the centre has lost three directors and several staff members. Parents who have older kids at NELC have said that while it used to be excellent, the leadership changes in the last nine months have led to a decline in how things are run. The communication has been poor, the children regularly need to adapt to new teachers, the weekly Storypark update is sometimes forgotten about, and feedback isn't always well-received. The centre has just raised its daily fee by $20, with a tiny portion going to the staff on the floor (many of whom are wonderful, the unfortunate thing is that they keep leaving). I am waiting to see if this money is invested back into the children and the centre, as promised in a recent email, as I currently can't see where it is being spent.

It's been an incredible year for my daughter at NELC. The team is amazing, they welcome the children with a big smile everyday to make them feel happy and belonging.
The team is always aware of each child's day and their development. Communication is great between the centre and parents.

This centre is like an extension of our family. I have an almost 4 year old boy in jnr preschool who has been here since he was 1, and my daughter attended for 5 years from baby up to the preschool room. I’m so pleased to say that many of the fabulous staff who first welcomed us 6 years ago are still there today, caring and loving my child at his home away from home, and communicating with us regularly. The centre director has been there for many years as a room leader and is a very intelligent and passionate childhood educator, and the staff are seemingly thriving with her leadership, there is a great culture about the centre. They have fantastic outdoor spaces, lots of fresh air inside and it’s lovely and clean. The food is incredible - their chef puts so much passion and care into her menu and cooking. Really, the variety and nutrition my son gets is much better than I can do at home ☺️ the children do lots of great activities outside including weekly sports activities which my son loves. Highly recommend this centre you won’t regret it.

NELC is a beautiful daycare centre. It has a big and accessible outdoor play area, with lots of natural greenery, things to explore and plenty of cover so it can be enjoyed both when it's extra hot and when it's raining. The staff are all very kind and caring - and clearly care about building genuine connections with the kids. Another big plus is the parking situation - there are always plenty of spots available making for safe and stress-free dropoffs and pickups with my two young ones.

Would be very happy to recommend NELC. It is a small centre with beautiful
indoor and outside spaces, caring, engaged staff and an experienced Director. We particularly like the inclusive and thoughtful education program and weekly sport class which my daughter loves.
