Wow! This place is truely incredible. The activities are awesome! Rock Climbing, Paddle boarding, Abseiling, and a massive zip line that covers the land connected by two massive climbing walls! For people who are more chill and not so athletic like me, there is archery, fishing, and best of all, sailing with a skipper. It’s basically just a fun ride across Lake Macquarie area. Although I may have flipped over during abseiling 😟, it was a blast! The staff are friendly and kind, and will push you to your limits and make sure you have a great time. The food, the wasn’t always the most tasty, but the options! The food variety alone was great! The accomodation, how do I even start! There are five stunning large cabins with about 10 rooms in each. There’s a clothing line for all wet clothes and I haven’t ever seen wild animals around anywhere! There are even private bathrooms in each of the rooms, and they are cleaned properly! They even can accommodate multiple camp groups at the same time! This camp at school was incredible, and just any CRU camp will certainly give you the same treatment!

I’m sure it’s great to experience when you’re apart of it, but living so close to this place has been a nightmare. I haven’t been able to sleep in days because of these screams of young children. One night a large group of girls were yelling Taylor swift songs at the top of their lungs until 11pm. I’m not one to complain but I’m about to loose my job over this I can’t work to move away if I can’t sleep. I might come back when I’m old and deaf, as it is a really nice area.

I went here on a school camp. The activities were amazing, the food was really good, and the cabins were good quality. The only reason this gets 1 star is because they lied to all the students, big time. At the start of the camp, they introduced this thing called cabin points, which were essentially points you would get from doing things like behaving in cabins, answering questions correctly, etc, and each cabin group was a team. Now, my group somehow won, and they said that the prizes would be mailed to our school. Nothing was mailed, and I did not get anything. Nobody likes liars...

Recently stayed at CRU Lake Mac for our group of approx. 100+ member church youth group winter retreat. Fantastic staff, super friendly and always willing to help. Facilities were immaculate, and I have never supervised at a camp where the children consistently went for seconds at their meals. Will definitely be our go-to place for our future retreats!

The facilities here have just been updated, so are all very new and clean. The food is pretty good, and lunch is the best meal. The leaders are super nice and friendly. It’s an easy location to find and there is plenty of parking inside the gates.

horrible food, no flavour whatsoever coming from a student who has been on this camp many times. always fed me so much food for no reason and everytime NO FLAVOUR. they constantly peer pressured me to do activities that i didn’t want to do. the worst was by far the food. they served so much of it, there was no flavour, tasted horrible and was cold. don’t even get me started on the cabins. the mattress was hard, the cabin smelt horrible and there was only one window. big no from me if you can don’t go on this camp.
