After our wedding venue fell through 12 weeks out - we turned to Esplanade Events to help us. I cannot fault them. The staff in the lead up were so attentive and kind, and on the night were outstanding. Nothing was too much to ask. We were so stressed after the initial venue fell through but now we are so happy and thankful it did - we had the wedding of our dreams. Specifically Alexandra, was an amazing support!

Recently had my daughter’s wedding here. They set the reception beautifully, location is fantastic! Staff were very friendly & tried to accommodate us, esp bar staff. The co-ordinaters were lovely but just needed more guidance as we’re left in the cold with no direction… Food was very disappointing, We were lucky it was not a very hot day as room was a little stuffy with no aircon. They shut the doors & windows at 10pm
And were not allowed on balcony. Made it very claustrophobic & uncomfortable.
Parking is chaotic & our limo could not drive us to the doors of venue.

Bit weird to swim with 30 or more pre-dawn, only to see red&yellow flags go up at 7.45am when 3 then 1 were in the water.

Cronulla beach at the doorstep... one of the oldest surf clubs in Australia has been patrolling the beach since 1907. Sunday, the bar is open with the best views of the Bate Bay area.

Lovely people at Cronulla Surf Life Saving club, went pass this place saw them finishing off the day on their sausage sizzle ask if I can purchase some sausage they were so nice to offer it to me for free.. Such nice people n such community spirit... Thankyou me n my son really enjoyed.

I would not recommend any person book their wedding or event at either the rsl or the surf club (both run by esplanade events). So many things were below the standard we expected and paid for e.g running out of the beer we asked for on the tab, bridal party weren’t provided canapés ordered, guests served stone cold main meals, etc etc.

We discovered six weeks before the day that they were always planning to shut us out of half the booked event space in the surf club at 10pm on the night, despite us booking and paying til 11pm and their t&cs / invoice saying nothing about this. We had to switch to a room at the rsl for the reception at the last minute, which was not the venue we wanted. By then it was too late to cancel.

The cherry on top of all of this was being locked out of the bridal suite on the night and standing there in my wedding dress being told by the only member of staff I could actually find, “nah I’ve just finished for the night. Go upstairs and ask reception about it.”

Do not recommend.

We had a function here and we absolutely loved the premises, the staff and food. A lovely place to hold a function and the view is spectacular. Highly recommended.
