Appreciation post to the regular front door lady who is always friendly and welcoming. Eyewitness her not only answering customer inquiries but also checking those going out. She has a tough job with the amount of traffic that goes in and out of Kmart and she handles it the best she can. Thank you for your customer service.

I had a very underwhelming experience shopping at Kmart this afternoon around 1:30 pm. I went in to purchase a checkered shopping bag and was trying to get a sense of the sizes when something that looked like a small toy fell out of one of the bags. Rather than leaving it on the floor where it could become a tripping hazard, I placed it neatly on a nearby shelf.

Seconds later, I heard someone approach, and it turned out to be a staff member trying to retrieve the item. Unfortunately, instead of a polite interaction, I was met with a condescending attitude. I immediately apologised for putting the item on the shelf, realising it may not have belonged there, but the staff member’s dismissive “yeah” in response felt unnecessarily arrogant and unprofessional.

I understand keeping things organised is part of the staff's responsibility, but a bit of basic courtesy would have made all the difference in this situation. It definitely left a negative impression on what should have been a simple shopping trip.

Air conditioning has been broken for longer than I can remember.
Most shelves are barely stocked.
Most products have no prices marked on the shelf and if there are, it's a guessing game because the shelves are so disorganised. I'll not be going back there again. 24 hours a day...who cares!

The staff were so rude!!
At the service desk, I opted to purchase my items there as I have an assistance dog and the customer in front me said to her serve me while she found some paperwork but she stood there and ignored me.
When I got there I got nothing but rude attitude, normally you go to the middle to purchase stuff, grunted and scanned my items.
I had waited, and there had to be 4 more people behind me for her to then move across to serve me.
And this was after the First Lady who served first customer her click and collect, but handed her over to this new girl and saw me walked straight off.
Whoever the lady was at the service desk 11/12/24 at like 12:30-1 needs a good lesson in customer service.

Staff here are horrendous. The employee at the "Service desk" hid away from view so that they did not have to attend to customers - I was trying to process a return. When we did manage to raise one all they did was offer problems rather than solutions. I was referred to the store manager 'Cos' who was argumentative, arrogant and rude. It's almost like these people were never taught to smile. So frustrated with this experience I attempted to contact Kmart customer service (online) and was met with a dismissive response, customer blaming rather that reflecting and taking feedback on the problems with the staff in this store. I was visiting this store from Sydney and vow to never go to the place again. Avoid at all costs. Go to Big W instead.
*Update - I took my return item to another store in Sydney. I was met at the Service desk by a young gentleman, full of smiles and resolved my matter in minutes. Avoid Kmart Figtree.

Their air conditioning has been broken for months and all they've done is install a band-aid solution instead of repairing the system. It was so hot and humid there today, and it's not even Summer yet! I truly hope they fix it before summertime, otherwise I'll be making the trip to Shellharbour every time.

Jason was professional , reassuring , pleasant, patient and understanding in his help to resolve the matter.My daughter and I were really impressed and thankful. Thankyou Kmart management.

Kind man named Michael took me around the warehouse in his words "On a sight seeing tour" just so I can see how business is done. When I asked for his number he walked away and started crying could someone let me know where to find him or what his number is so we can reconnect.
