Absolutely awesome place. Very dissapointed we discovered how great it was on our last night in Tamworth. Jack’s Creeks steaks were very good. We tried Black Angus Sirloin which was very good but the Wagyu Tri Tip was absolutely stellar! Out of this world, well worth the price. Highly recommend this place, staff was very friendly and helpful. Will be coming back for sure.

Memorable evening's dining. Well done, Dane and WK team. Our dining experience on Saturday, 5th October 2024, was truly memorable. Dining experiences at this level are not experienced anywhere near as often as claimed. My Jack's Creek Beef - 300gm Pure-bred Wagyu Flank was excellent, and equally impressive was my wife's Vietnamese Brasied Duck. Three excellent courses, and some of the best balanced Kilpatrick Oysters I have ever had. Hat's off...to the Workshop Kitchen. Shout out to Sarah as well...!

The steak I had was the most delicious one I've ever tasted in my life. Although we initially ordered one main dish each, we were so impressed that we decided to order an extra steak. It was a celebration for my boyfriend's birthday, and he was incredibly happy with the ambiance and the food. Not only the main course, but the appetizers and desserts were also of very high quality. The prices are on the higher side, but if you visit this restaurant, you'll find the cost justified. Everything, from the kitchen to the seating, is beautifully designed.

Great atmosphere. Super chilled out. While the food was all right, I found the quality/price ratio a bit off. My steak was good, but everything else just ok. Good after a long drive though. And the ambiance is super chill

What a little decadent slice of fine dining right in the heart of Tamworth!

The workshop kitchen (in fact the whole powerhouse hotel) is beautifully decked out in a rich and glamorous style.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the seating arrangements are very comfortable.

The menu is best described as ‘fancy’ and would comfortably be served in any of the beautiful establishments somewhere like the Rocks in Sydney.

The food is delicious and well proportioned.

A lovely venue for a special night out!

Good food, good service, nice layout, good finishes. There's a lot to like about this restaurant inside the Rydges Powerhouse. Everyone knows what to do, gets their job done and the food was very consistent. I think for flavour the peppercorn sauce was the star of the show for me, closely followed by the mash which was creamy without being too rich. Steak was well cooked and marbling felt pretty even as I worked through the steak. Very light charcoal taste from the grill, overall very good. There's a very long wine / alcohol list (25 page menu) with everything from by the glass, local varietals and standard grape varieties to $2000 a bottle special editions. Probably would like to try the duck or beef ribs next time just to see how they do it as the steak was very good.
