It’s been almost a year and we continue to get told they have nationwide shortages of therapists. Clearly there is a broader issue Aspect isn’t addressing. Could it be that there is full transparency on what you are profiting off these therapists and you aren’t paying them enough? Might suggest their manager had poor leadership. What are you doing internally to address this high level of turn over? We’ve had 4 OT’s leave in the space of 6 months.
Your service is terrible. My husband and I continue to chase and advocate for our son and we continue to get told we will get updates in a couple of weeks. Just like the review below. Stop making promises you can’t keep and better manage expectations of your clients. We have never received an update and are always the ones chasing.
I was threatened to have our services cut if I didn’t pay an outstanding invoice and the final notice said that prompt payment enables Aspect to offer services. A little embarrassing, you can’t cancel services you aren’t offering and clearly Aspect make that much money when no one is trying to replace the therapists we did have. Mind you I was called once about this invoice and told the caller to speak to my husband. No one contacted my husband either. Also not surprising. It’s incredibly frustrating to follow an organisation that is a for purpose organisation when they are not delivering on their promises. Now we can advocate for our son. How are you treating all those families who can’t? Heartbreaking. We are asking Aspect and the leaders (decision markers) to make some much needed change.
You clearly have a real issue with retention and attraction. Time to make a real difference and get back to delivering on what you say you will.

Aspect claims to support diversity, inclusion, and accommodations.

However out of their 16 executives and board of directors, only one is autistic.

Clearly diversity and inclusion are an afterthought when it comes to themselves.

They have missed an opportunity to provide their autistic participants with autistic role models.

Perhaps if they included more autistic people in their decision making processes, management, and culture, the wooden box incident would not have occurred. It would appear that little was learned.

Edit: let's talk about Aspect's Walk For Autism and associated fundraising efforts. In 2021 they raised over $6mil. This would be great if this fundraising hadn't "cost" them $2mil.

1/3 of donations being eaten up by the "costs" of obtaining those donations is ridiculous. Apparently packing your board and executive roles full of CFOs and similar isn't actually that effective!

Will diagnose tiktok autists who blatantly lie to them. I have read diagnosis reports from Aspect in which the person completely and utterly lied to them and received an autism diagnosis. Suggests to me they just like collecting the money. On top of that, people like me who have been struggling and getting teased for 20 years won't even get contacted back about an appointment. 5 months and waiting atm...not even an email or a call. Dodgy operator.

Last week I noticed that (in the reviews of their Facebook page) someone mentioned the ABC report on a boy who had apparently been locked up in a cage in one of their schools. The day after, or maybe two days after that, (again in the reviews) someone was outraged that a mother who had expressed her concerns had been called a troll by their staff. I didn't visit their Facebook page for a couple of days and when I went back to it the reviews had been disabled and there was a new link to "House Rules". While I cannot comment on what might have happened in my absence of a couple of days (I suppose the complaints got worse?), I find it disappointing when reviews are disabled only because of complaints. After all, they had the option to respond to complaints and reviews and defend themselves, so there was no need to disable reviews altogether, and as a matter of fact it will only increase insecurity in potential customers. I personally prefer to read negative reviews and their responses to them rather than knowing that customers cannot say what they think. Maybe they don't know that Facebook offers the option to block certain words? There is no need to disable reviews. Parents should certainly have the right to express their concerns.

Absolutely disgusting services. We waited 2 years for therapy support only to be DUMPED by their restructure of staff and told to go elsewhere...

DON'T BOTHER WITH ASPECT THEY DO NOT PROVIDE WHAT THEY SAY THEY DO.
