Weird experience where on the day of orientation where i was searching for the room it was to be held in and momentarily stood in front of the door of said room to check the room number, one of the staff (who i later came to know was one of the admin staff and not a teacher/lecturer) appeared to deliberately bump into me whilst moving a desk into said room.

There is no way she could have not seen me as i was standing at the entrance in plain view. I received no "sorry", no acknowledgement, no nothing.

She clearly wanted me to get out of the way but couldn't be bothered asking nicely - or asking, full stop - and decided to take out her misdirected frustrations on me with the furniture she was moving. Maybe she was upset that she'd been ask by one of her superiors to do the job of moving desks in there and wanted to take it out on unsuspecting me. Passive-aggressive behaviour.

From that point onwards, i was put off by the campus because of this one staff member's behaviour - worried that this might be a bad omen of things to come in terms of toxic culture - because i had already received a hostile and unwelcome vibe from her.

Clearly, prospective students expect a standard of behaviour from staff, particularly in professional settings such as this. It's a learning institution. Students should feel at a bare minimum, safe.

The Cambus is good with a lot of accessible parking, but the teacher who teaches in IT needs to be more trained on how to teach because honestly, I couldn't keep up with them so I had to do the course again somewhere also the canteen is overpriced for 6$ i get a chicken burger while i can get a fries, burger and a drink from McDonald's

Teachers are very good in Information technology section.I am doing diploma of information technology networking. Teachers have good knowledge and teaching methods very well.I mostly liked teching method because we are getting good knowledge

Great location. Huge grounds. Heaps of free parking. Fantastiic canteen with hot and cold meals, salads and fruit, and great barista coffee. Friendly staff. Onsite student support and course assistance. Huge library.

Lidcombe College provides English Classes, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Information Technology, and Associated Timber Trades courses that include Cabinet Making, French Polishing, Upholstery, Glass and Glazing, Dry and Wet wall training, and Polymers.

Place is pretty run down, but it’s not all about looks I’ve had some amazing teacher going above and beyond for student’s particularly glass and glazing department,cafe is quiet expensive for the quality of food I recommend bringing your own food it will be cheaper and nicer,

I’ve been to this tafe for a few courses and it’s great no issue with the education system and teachers.
HOWEVER Canteen prices are too ridiculously high for students. We already spend a whole lot of money to get studying and a lot of students are independent and only receiving government benefit income that hardly covers their rent and general finances let alone food to survive the day at Tafe. I find this is very sad an inconsiderate. And in my years of attending this specific tafe the prices have only increased. Prices should be reconsidered 100% Then it will be 5 ⭐️

First day there paid 2x the amount of money the food was listed as. List price is $5.50 and I got to checkout and it’s $10, I say,
“$10? Not $5.50?”
Canteen lady says
“It’s $10 trust me I work here”

Scummy and disrespectful plus this place looks like a 1700s missile test site, run down into the dirt. 0 stars if google would allow. If your course is offered here and somewhere else, DO NOT SIGN UP HERE!!!!

So disappointed with the staff members at Lidcombe Tafe institution especially Mark William who is teaching Cert III- Cabinet Making. He does not show any initiative in his profession as a teacher. He simply does not want to be in the class.
As a close contact of one of his students, I am close to writing a formal complaint with written authority to the TAFE itself & fair trade. When a student genuinely needs help, it would go a long way if he could elaborate on students mistakes & areas needing improvement. He does not even help students when they need help on their practicals. Why is he a teacher? Appalling!
