I am going to this school currently, it I'd a horrible school. The student services once sent me back to class while I was sobbing begging to let me stay, because "you need to try 10 minutes" the way they deal with uniform is also atrocious, just this afternoon, I was lining up to get on my bus, and one of the teachers told me that because I put my hoodie on at the end of the day because it was cold, that I had to go to the back of the line! I've also been told that I was "not good enough" by multiple teachers in multiple faculties when I could not concentrate, which turned out to be ADHD, which they also ignore because I was recently diagnosed. Do not take your kids here.

My son attends this school, he seems happy and we are satisfied as parents. Anytime I have contacted the school, I have felt 'heard' and the issue was addressed. The Student Services crew are excellent. Diversity is welcome. Students gain an understanding of everyone - the Special Ed class is on site. The school shares the ag farm across the road. My son has never said that he didn't like the school or didn't want to go to school. The teachers seem modern in their approach. There is a lot of focus on 'grit', 'persistence', 'wellbeing' and the like. Stuff that will set teens up for life. I would recommend this high school. The only problem is the lack of parking.

I went to this school a few years ago and it was one of the worst schooling experiences i've ever had in my life. The deputies physically search students patting them down and touching needlessly close to female students chestd which violates not only basic human decency but also the right for minors to feel safe in an environment that they should feel comfortable and safe in.

This is furthered by the school's terrible management of student welfare when it comes to bullying and discrimination as on multiple occasions the victim of the abuse has been blamed and/or been punished for being the 'abuser' due to lackluster methods of getting incident reports from students and poor methods of collecting information before making a judgment.

If at all possible find a different school for your child to attend so they never have to experience what this school is like.

During my time at HKHS, my teachers were supportive, there was plenty of extra-curricular activities on offer, the facilities were decent and the mental health support was quite good too. Special education facility was accommodating and some of the students were mixed into our classes which I think was great. There were a number of problematic teachers when I first started at the school in Year 7, but towards the Year 10-12, I really enjoyed my time there. One issue though was the lack of parking on site as it's close to the hospital and has the primary school next door.

In my opion this school is very normal, atleast betther than the brisbane water, for real the teacher IS SO GOOD, i love them also sad about some of nice teacher leave the school, but here is a thing this school still has some bully, i don't know why they say something like: " we don't friend with gay people". For me the advantage in this school is super nice teacher, disadvantage is still have bully, it quite annoying. But atleast the bully now didn't do anything from my friend group maybe the teacher just really nice :). ALSO I LOVE CHILD LABOUR IN THE FARM AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

An excellent public school that delivers quality education to high school kids in the Gosford area. My daughter goes to this school and she has excelled in all areas. This can only mean that the opportunities are there and the educators are doing a great job.

This is probably one of the worst schools I’ve ever come across. To start off, there are a multitude of reasons as to why and they all complement each other to create the worst possible environment for a student.

The first issue is that students cannot leave without being excessively questioned which is both unnecessary and makes students more likely to not follow the set processes.

The second issue is to do with the way in which students are dehumanised and treated unfairly by staff. This can include when teachers look under toilets to supposedly check who is in there, but this is not legally allowed nor is it a moral practice.

Linked to the previous issue is the fact that students are physically searched by staff which violates their personal space and does not respect the rights of minors to feel safe and comfortable.

The reasons stated in this review lead to the point that this is the worst school I have ever come across.
