Gosford Regional Art Gallery is a wonderful place to visit, with a great mix of exhibitions and a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights is the beautiful Japanese garden right next to the gallery—it’s such a tranquil spot to stroll through, with koi ponds, lush greenery, and a lovely sense of serenity. The gallery itself showcases a variety of artworks, from contemporary pieces to local talent, making each visit unique.

There’s also a cafe beside the gallery, perfect for grabbing a coffee or a bite to eat while enjoying the surroundings. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a relaxing day out, this place is well worth a visit!

I have stopped by here a few times over the last couple of months. It is a lovely place to stop by, especially if you have elderly family or friends. The food/menu and service were great with vegetarian options. Take a walk through the Japanese Gardens and the coy ponds full of coy fish. You won't be disappointed. The art gallery is also their to view aswell and a little gift shop. There is plenty of parking and not too far to walk. Great for all ages or somewhere different to visit.

Very small but a niche art gallery. Beautiful Japanese gardens outside so they are worth viewing. Small cafe and parking lot.

I've visited the art gallery this afternoon (Saturday 10/8/2024) and had a great experience here. I like to koi fishes that they have here, and the paintings using water colouring here are excellent, loved 'the big horse painting' but couldn't afford to buy it. On the side of the art gallery, there is a free drop in water painting class that anyone can drop in between 1pm and 4pm I think. I had the chance to experience the water painting for the first time, the staff here were really helpful to show you how to do the painting with paper, brushes and water colour provided to you free of charge. Thank you so much for the excellent services 💓

Lovely place, free admission, garden is fantastic. Although it is way smaller than in Sydney, but much more fun because they sell koi fish food, and the extra fun is that the pond is shared by ducks who also relish the koi pellets. So the challenge is two-step, a) distract the ducks, b) feed the fish. Kois are more numerous and have big mouths, but ducks are much faster and just walk on the poor fish with zero shame. Seriously, if I was a koi in that pond, I'd just bite off the ducks' legs 🙂
The artworks on display are also quite enjoyable and give food for thought and inspiration.
