SCA is a place where all are welcome ☺️ My daughters confidence and sportsmanship has grown in the years we have been at club. I love that all athletes work together to pull off amazing routines. The coaches and staff are encouraging, supportive and always make sure the kids are having fun.

My 2 daughters joined SCA in 2020 and I joined myself in 2021 when the Adults team was formed, (my husband was even on the Adults team for the first year.)

SCA is 100% our second home. We have made friendships and memories that will last us a lifetime. My girls have learnt how to work as a team all while having fun. They have learnt the value of that team by knowing that every single person on that team matters for their routine to be complete, you could be the best flyer in the world but without a base you are no longer a flyer and vice versa.

Watching my girls on the competition stage has been a highlight for me as a mother, I could not be prouder of what they have learnt and the dedication they have put in. Watching them do something they love and the joy it brings them is what really matters in life.

As for me, being a Cheerleader was not something I'd ever considered, but now in my 4th year I can't imagine life without my team. As Mothers we quite often lose ourselves, and become everything everyone else needs us to be. Cheer has given me myself back. I am doing something for me that I love and have the best time doing with the absolute best bunch of people, and at the same time I am doing something with my kids, having that shared interest and thing that will keep us together even as they get older and inevitably drift away from us as parents a little.

I am SCA's oldest Flyer and have learnt that we are capable of so much more than we give ourselves credit for. I will be 40 next year and never in a million years would have guessed this is what I'd be doing with myself at this age. I love learning new and harder skills and love the bond I share with my team and the trust we have built, if they said let's throw you to the roof we'll catch you, 100% I know they've got me and we'd do it.

Honestly there isn't a bad word I could say about SCA, there is so much for anyone to get out of joining this incredible family.

And if you're an adult sitting at home wishing you'd done something fun when you were younger and didn't or even if you're just looking for something to do, trust me this is the thing you want to try.

Highly recommend SCA and the amazing cheer family! It’s an amazing sport taught by dedicated, professional and caring staff. SCA fosters great values in all its members and it’s a positive environment for everyone. Everyone is welcome and there is a place for all no matter what ability.
