Absolutely atrocious service from west Nowra waste depot today, my elderly father went there today and was treated like an idiot and given no help whatsoever when tipping waste out of the back of a small truck. He was also swore at when he was having trouble releasing the tailgate. I was also charged more than I was quoted by the depot. I was told it was $50.50 for every 100kg over and instead was charged $70.70 when the load was only 70kg over. This depot is always the worst one to go to and we will be spending the extra time next time to take it out to huskisson. I cannot believe how rude they were for absolutely no reason. If they hate their job that much then they should leave. 0/10

We have recently moved to Nowra and absolutely love how this waste and recycling depo has been designed and managed. The staff are wonderful, the Tip shop is awesome and a great place to bring any recyclable pieces (in GOOD condition) for those of us who love a bargain and an opportunity to get a genuine bargain. Some of the Charity shops prices are beyond the reach of some people now a-days due to what are exaggerated prices. THIS place is GOLD

It’s not a place anyone really wants to visit.
However it’s segregated nicely into regular waste, green waste, steel, electronics, bricks and concrete etc. As long as you’ve got your load sorted before arrival it’s easy to dispose of.
I have found some staff to be very helpful and others just stand back and watch you struggle to unload.
I’ve always used the vouchers that come with the rates so I can’t comment on the cost.
The buy back centre has some great items at bargain prices. Worth taking a look.

Staff were extremely helpful. One offered to take our old TV up to the electronics drop off zone. Very clear instructions on where to drop mattress and metal. Could not have been easier. Great experiences on 2 consecutive days

The Gentlemen at the bays were friendly, exceedingly helpful and nothing seemed a problem to them. They helped guide us into the bays and then helped get the stuff off the trailer. I couldn't ask for better folk to help make our deposit easier and expedient.

Closed on Public Holidays - when people would like to be cleaning up around their yards Seems strange.
Also, like most tips these days, dumping of rubbish is too strict and expensive.
Both of these things are leading to more & more rubbish being dumped in the bush.
