Kolping Oituz has exceeded my expectations in every way:
The staff are amazing, always happy, kind and helpful. They send me regular (sometimes daily) updates and pictures so I feel like I know what my son is doing every day.
The owner is amazing with children. He is always somewhere around, helping children who need some extra attention, or just playing/dancing/singing with groups.
They have a ratio of about 7:1 (3 professional teachers for the class PLUS extra volunteers for the summer, nap time, transport, etc). It is so much better than the local schools that have 1 teacher for 20+ children!
The school is 15 minutes from where I live, BUT, they have organized transport to and from, with extra supervision. They have proper car seats, so it is safe for little ones and the volunteers make the journey fun!
The menu is sent out every week so we know exactly what they are eating. They provide all food, so I never have to worry about packing lunch!
The teachers help with teaching essential skills, toilet training, feeding themselves, and developing early language, drawing, numbers and letters plus a schedule full of fun and games and loads of toys.
The indoor area is nice and big, but the outdoor area is AMAZING. a HUGE playground with slides, ladders, swings, sandpit, trampoline and space for group games and riding bicycles.
They operate ALL YEAR, so there is no need to change schools for the summer. Their summer program is amazing, full of outdoor games and activities mixing older kids with younger so they can teach essential skills to each other.
The cost is very reasonable given everything that you get at this amazing school. If anyone is newly moved to Bacau and needing somewhere to send their little one, I recommend Kolping Oituz!
